Bright/child oneshorts

.A visit to 049.

Dr Bright was sitting at his office desk filling out a stack of paperwork. As he was writing, he heard small footsteps enter his office. He looked down at his side to see a little girl with a purple top and a lab coat on.

"Oh, I wasn't expecting to see you here Lily."

The girl gave a wide and enthusiastic smile as she practically bounced over to Bright.

"Father! What are you doing?"

"I'm just doing some paperwork."

Lily had a perplexed face that looked as if she'd seen a ghost.

"Some work!? That's a whole mountain!"

Bright chuckled a little, then he kept a warm smile on his face.

"Indeed, but what brings you into my office little one?"

Her smile then grew wider, which seemed nearly impossible considering how wide her smile was in the first place.

"I wanted to go look at some scp's with you father!"

He then raised his eyebrow in confusion.

"You want to go look at scp's? Which one?"

"A bird doctor guy!"

Bright then sat in shock. He couldn't show her a Euclid class he thought to himself. But then he thought it wouldn't be that bad considering he would be behind a wall.

"Alright, but I have to finish my work. Sorry Lily."

Her face then looked quite annoyed at Bright.

"But father, you're always at work! Can't you just do it later!? Please please please pleaseeee"

She gave a face that almost looked as if she was a puppy wanting their owner to take them for a walk.

"Okay, but just this once. I guess I do need a break." He sighed while his smile faded a little.

Bright and Lily were just outside of Scp 049's door. Bright pulled out his keycard and opened it. As they walked inside, Lily was practically bouncing out of excitement!

"Wow wow wow! He looks so cool! Can I talk to him!?"

Dr Bright giggled at the sight of seeing her so happy and her eyes gleaming with light.

"Yes you can speak to him through this wall. Just don't try to go into the cell, please."

Lily nodded as she asked 049 a series of questions such as "Do you like cupcakes? Have you had a cupcake before? Do you like sweets?"

049 answered all of the questions negative, as he hasn't been given any sweets from the foundation.

Lily then said something that made Bright jump a little.

"Father, can I give him a lollipop?"

Dr Bright never thought in a million years she'd ask this question, nor anyone would. But, considering she's a child and doesn't know that much about the foundation, it only makes sense.

"I'm sorry Lily, but you can't go in there." Dr Bright said with a bit of sympathy in his voice.

Lily showed her disappointed face to Dr Bright as he felt upset for rejecting this child.

"Well... If you really want, I could give him the lollipop because I can't d-" Dr Bright then cut off his own words to see the child passed out asleep on the floor.

He smiled and put the child on his back and walked out of 049's cell, back to the break room.
