A yawn escaped her. It wasn't even morning, quite the opposite even. It was the end of the day, the last hour of school before she'd be released. Home, comfort and things to keep herself busy.
But no, instead of sweet release from the clutches of education she was left in polyester shorts and a blue t-shirt, idly sitting at the side of the pointless phenomenon called PE. It wasn't, she knew how important of a class it was but regardless she just wasn't a big fan of it. She had slacked off and claimed to not feel well enough to participate, the teacher just accepting it without too much thought. They didn't know that skipping gym class was a frequent thing the physically lazy girl seemed to engage in.
She sat there at the side of the gym, quietly watching the goings about of her fellow students. She wasn't up for movement right now. All she really wanted was to go home... It was four PM, how did people manage to be active? A particular person had caught her gaze, the blonde haired girl which had previously questioned her eyes. A dark blue pair of shorts, white shirt present while her hair was loosely tied into a knot behind her head.
Her eyes averted, the silent gazing coming to an end. She wasn't sure what to think of the girl. She didn't know a lot of people here, only having spoken to a handful of them but for some inexplicable reason she just couldn't really get her mind off of her. Perhaps that little encounter was just that weird, but Alice was uncertain about the whole thing. It felt like something else was at play.
My eyes are pretty weird though...
Her stray thoughts got interrupted by a random volleyball of sorts smashing into the wall next to her, a surprised yelp escaping her while she even cowered a little. Too late of course, were the volleyball to actually have been aimed at her. Alice's reflexes weren't the greatest either.
"It's just a ball, calm down..."
The words were of course said by that little factor that had recently input itself into her life, the blonde girl which presumably had been part of the reason why the ball impacted besides her. Alice sighed heavily.
"I am calm."
She wasn't, her words even a little frustrated though more so than anything shaken up. The blonde haired girl raised her brow at Alice, shrugging at her words.
"If you say so."
With that the girl started to turn around, Alice thinking that with those words their little exchange of sorts would come to an end. But it didn't, halfway she stopped and turned to Alice once more with slightly narrowed eyes.
"Why aren't you playing?"
That certainly had been a little out of the left field... and Alice really didn't have a proper explanation as to why she had decided to not participate. The only real reason was...
"I'm too tired."
It was a bad one, one that most certainly would be laughed upon... and it happen, the girl snorting in retort to the rather poor excuse for her physical inaction. The blonde haired girl shook her head a little, a sigh even escaping her lips.
"You'll feel more awake if you moved a little. And besides that, it has been four versus five for ages."
Alice once more had that strange, confused gaze settled onto the girl, amazed and confused at her words. Had she just been invited... to join a game of volleyball? She disregarded the excuse about waking up, it was pretty clear that entire argument had been bullshit.
"I'm uhm... I'm really not that great at volle-"
She yelped out as her arm was grabbed, Alice practically being pulled off of the bench and hauled off by the blonde haired girl. She stumbled, but eventually got a steady footing.
