Chapter 4 : Moving On

(Name) didn't know what possessed her to confide in a mere stranger. She pour out all of her pent up feelings and Tsuneo listened with intent.

The (H/C) girl didn't even notice that she begun crying until she felt the wine hair male awkwardly try to comfort her by patting her back.

"There there, let it all out uh.." Tsuneo faltered at the end of his sentence, realizing that he didn't get the girl's name.

(Name) sniffled and rub the tears out of her reddening (E/C) eyes. She forced out a half hearted smile and gave him a thumbs up.

"(Name) (Last Name). Thanks for listening to me crying over a guy like a mad woman. It really help, like a lot" She thanked Tsuneo who just gave her a lazy smirk while leaning on the wall. He shook his head.

"Nah it's fine. It's a nice change to talk to someone who's not either afraid of me or oogling over me" (Name) lift her eyebrows at that. Oh? Tsuneo is a popular guy it seems.

"Anyways, I can't say much but if you truly wanted to get over him, you have to accept that he's never going to return your feelings. Cause I can see that you still held some hope in those eyes of yours" Tsuneo had a deep look on his expression as if he's trying to choose his words very carefully.

She didn't want to admit it but Tsuneo is right about her denial of Aki's feelings for Harumi. (Name) still held onto that tight rope of the insane possibility of Aki liking her back.

'Enough is enough. If I truly wanted to keep our friendship, I need to follow up my words' she thought in her head. though she doesn't know how to start, what does she need to do to start moving on?

"But how..?" (Name) finally voice out her question with a solemn look on her face.

"Well..maybe you should try distancing away from him? I'm not saying completely cut him off your life but spend less time around him might help" Tsuneo replied but his voice held uncertainty in it.

(E/C) looked at the male beside her in confusion. She just told him that the only two people she have in her life is the cause of her problem and he's suggesting her to be away from them?

"But who would I spend my time with then? I only have Harumi and Aki you know.."

"Then let me extend my offer to you, how about we be friends? I'll keep you company when this Aki guy is not around" Tsuneo said with a genuine smile.

Based on what Tsuneo said, he seems to be a popular guy around her school. So, why would he volunteeringly be her friend without anything in return? seems pretty sus in her book.

"Why would you willingly help me? there must be a catch to your deal" (Name) once again eye him suspiciosly.

He burst out into a fit of laughter as he shook his head. He's not taking me seriously! she angrily bites in her mind.

"I told you didn't I? you're a nice change of pace. No oogling or fearful eye, I may be well known but that also means I have no real friends to talk to" He finally spoke after he was done laughing.

"Oh. I guess that makes us the same huh.." She sadly looks at him.

"So, would you take up on my offer?" Tsuneo asked as he held out a hand for her to stand up. (Name) thought for a moment before finally grasping his hand and stood up.

It's a one step to forget my silly crush on my best friend. One step at a time.
