As time passed, Scaramouche grew more and more confident in his Anemo abilities and started to see Childe's Hydro powers as inferior. He began to mock Childe and make fun of his abilities, just as Childe had done to him before.
Childe didn't take kindly to Scaramouche's words and decided to distance himself from Scaramouche. He stopped hanging out with him and refused to work with him on missions. Scaramouche was confused and hurt by Childe's sudden change in behavior, but he didn't try to reach out to him.
However, Scaramouche's victory over Childe was short-lived. His diseased toenail, which had been healed by the ancient spell, started to worsen again, and soon it spread to his other toes. Scaramouche tried to ignore the pain, but it became impossible to do so. He couldn't focus on training or fighting, and his Anemo abilities started to suffer.
Scaramouche was forced to seek out new treatments and remedies, but nothing seemed to work. He started to feel hopeless, and he realized that he had taken his newfound power for granted. He also realized that Childe was one of the only friend he had and that he had lost him.

Finally, he discovered a new spell that he believed would work. He focused all of his Anemo energy into the spell and pointed his finger at his toes. To his amazement, the spell worked, and his toes were fully healed.
With his toes healed and his Anemo abilities restored, Scaramouche set out to find Childe and apologize for his past behavior. He found Childe and apologized for the way he had treated him and the two of them rekindled their friendship. From then on, Scaramouche made sure to always treat others with kindness and respect, and never to take his power for granted again.
