Avery Florington
I wiped the blood off on my jacket and stared at my classmates.
"If we wanna survive, we need a plan. Does anyone have any ideas?" I said as I walked towards Mr. Baker's corpse and observing it
All my classmates remained silent, but thankfully, Jeff spoke.
"Why don't we split up? Not only does it make our escape faster, but it's also much more efficient." Jeff suggested
"Great idea Jeff." I smiled.
"Okay. We need to split up into teams. How many are we exactly?" I asked.
"We're 28 in total." One of the students said.
"Great. We need to have four members per group. That means we have around... uh..." I trailed off. (I wasn't really good at math, and my brain processes for a long time when it comes to that subject...)
"We have seven groups." Jeff said, filling in my trailed sentence.
"Yeah! Yeah. We have seven groups. So, everyone! Push all the desks to the side, pick your groupmates and sit down on the floor staying with your group! Got it?" I ordered
Everyone nodded and started pushing the desks to the side of the classroom to make a big space in the middle of the classroom.
I simply walked towards the door and slammed it shut. Locking it and barricading it with a few desks.
I walked towards the first corpse and observed it. I was able to identify it as our PE teacher. I picked up the bloody ruler and poked it. Little did I know, Abigail and Laylah walked up to me.
"We wanna stay with you." Laylah remarked
"Yeah, you're a pretty great leader. And we know that your dad's in the military, so you might know some moves from your old man." Abigail smiled.
I smile back, I already had two teammates, but I needed one more. And I knew who to choose.
Jeff Thompson.
I walked towards him and tapped his shoulder.
"Hey, Jeff? Do you wanna be my fourth teammate?" I asked, hoping that I'd get a yes.
"Heh, sorry Avery, but I'm already taken by those three girls over there." Jeff said as he pointed to three snobbish girls who laughed at my attempt to at least have Jeff in my team.
My smile faltered as it turned into my trademark "Avery Grumpyton" Frown (Abigail started calling me that whenever I frown, which I always do.)
"It's fine." I said, a grim expression on my face.
"Thank god. I thought you were gonna snap. 'Cause your frowning and you don't seem that happy." Jeff scratched his head sheepishly
"No, no. It's fine. Really. I just need one last member." I said as I shrugged it off.
"Well, Max seems like the only guy left." Jeff remarked as he pointed at the weak, lanky figure at the back of the classroom
"Max Stevens? Really? I get Nerd Lord as my last teammate?" I facepalmed
"At least he got brains." Jeff shrugged.
"That's Laylah's job! Ugh, Me, Abigail, and Laylah will determine what position he gets." I groaned as I rubbed my temples.
I walked towards Max Stevens and crossed my arms.
"Well, you just gonna stand there and shiver your ass off?" I said as I put authority in my tone
"N-n-n-no ma'am" Max trembled
"THEN GET YOUR LAZY ASS OFF MY LINE OF SIGHT AND GET TO MY GROUP NEAR THE DOOR!!!" I yelled at him like a commanding officer.
"Y-y-y-y-yes Ms. Florington!" He squeaked as he scampered off to where Abigail and Laylah was.
I growled and trudged towards my new group.
"What's he doing here?" Abigail grimaced at the sight of Max.
"He's our supposed fourth member." I rolled my eyes.
"Ew. Gross." Laylah stuck her tongue out in disgust.
"Now, we need to discuss on what position he's getting." I said
"Well, everyone obviously knows I'm the brute, Laylah's the brains and probably the sniper, and you'll be the leader." Abigail puffed out her chest in pride.
"He could be corpse bait." Laylah suggested
"Hehehehehe... y-you guys won't actually do that, right?" Max laughed nervously
"Laylah... That's the greatest idea ever." I smirked and gave Max a malevolent grin.
It was now settled. I was the leader, Abigail was the brute, Laylah was the brains (and of course, the sniper as well.), and Max was corpse bait. All we needed to do was get out of the classroom, split up, find weapons, create a plan on how to escape school. But I also had other plans. I needed to find Alvin and the rest. But for now, they have to wait.
