"Hey I wanna talk to you about something..." I said, and she turned around. She stood there and said nothing.

"Ummm Mala..." I couldn't find right words to say anything.

"I will be late. Jaldi bolo." She said firmly trying to look away.

"Dinner tonight?" I asked in a go.

She passed on a weird look but to much surprise agreed to it.

Mala's POV:

What the hell did I do? I said yes to him? Amazing Mala, what are you going to tell Bhaiya.
But the bigger question, why did he ask me out? Is it a date or what?

I reached team Hotel, changed and freshened up, by then, Sakshi bhabhi, Mahi bhai and Zii came to meet me. She such a grown up now.

Later Mahi bhai and Zii went out to play. Sakshi bhabhi randomly asked.
"Where are you lost Mala?"

And I know she is my biggest confidant, and I need not hide anything.
"He was with us in flight, bhabhi. Rahul."

"Did you guys talk?"

"No. He was talking to Shardul only. But, we talked after landing?"

"What did he say?"

"He asked me out, on dinner."

"And you said no, right?"

"No, I agreed."

"Why Mala? You know you will end up hurting yourself, you know he is with Vedika."

"I know, but he wanted to talk about something and then he suddenly asked for dinner, I was maybe curious, I feel he has a lot to say. Can I go?"

"Yes, ofcourse. But take care of yourself. Go only if you are certain you can handle the worst." She said pecked my forehead.

It was 7 in evening. And I was all ready to go. Rah had already texted me that he would send a driver to pick me up.

NAZCAA. I read on the door of restaurant. Japanese. His taste buds have seldom changed.

I entered and looked across hallway.
He was sitted in a queit corner.
I walked up to him and he stood up, pulled out a chair for me, and made me sit.
That instantly made me smile.
"I feel like I am on a date." I said with a slight chuckle.

"Maybe you are." He said with a sheepish smile.

"Anyways. I have wondering the whole day. What did you want to say?" I came straight to the point. My heart is too emotionally drained to have third heartbreak of my life.

"Okay, I won't take much of your time. I sat down to give it a thought few days ago, what I actually want in life. Its not Vedika, Mala. Its you. Its you who I want. I love you Mala. I was too dumb to never realise this before. But around you, I am me. I am happy. Vedika feels like a project I need to finish. Nothing else Mala. I love you. That's it. That's what I wanted to say."

"But you are planning to get married to her?" I asked him. Seriously Mala? He just confessed his love to you and you are worried about that bitch.

"My mom wants."

"Then, what is the point of saying all this to me?" I was a bit disappointed.
All this is nothing but an emotional mess. Someone would have to compromise again. And it would be me. Again.

"Because Mala, if you too love me, I don't care, who wants what. You would be the one I will choose no matter what."

I love this version of him even more.
Matured. And clear, of what he wants.

"I don't know how you never realised, but I have always loved you. How could you not see? You have no idea. But I have waited an eternity for you.
I have waited an eternity for you to realise. Yet still, you realised what you feel, but you couldn't see it in my eyes. You are too far from understanding me Rahul. And I have had my fair share of heartbreak already. I am not sure if I want us to be a thing yet."
