Surprisingly, I slept well and bago pa mag 3 am ay gayak na gayak na ako. Less than 6 hours ang tulog ko pero I feel energized so walang hassle ang paghahanda ko kahit early in the morning. I was wearing my uniform kasi wala namang sinabi on what we are supposed to wear, kahit suot ko na ang blazer ng school ay may jacket parin akong suot dahil it's really cold!
I did not bother bringing my phone with me, sobrang hina ng reception dito and minsan lang ako makahagilap ng signal and mostly dito lang sa kwarto ko. After fixing myself and braiding my hair ay lumabas na ako, again Lorenzo is there only this time ay kasama niya na si Felix na parang really not bothered at all sa coldness.
"Hi!" Lorenzo whispered shout.
Agad na nag-echo yung small hi niya kaya siguro hininaan niya lang ang pagsasalita.
"Hi." I said using the same tone.
Tahimik lang kami habang naglalakad at tunog lang ng mga sapatos namin ang maririnig, konti pa at napansin ko na magkakadikit na kami habang naglalakad. Parang pare-parehas kaming inaabot ng anxiety namin, ang creepy naman kasi ng sounds ng mga sapatos namin.
"Guys ano baaa why are we fast walking!" I hissed at them, dude nasan ang consideration ng mga lalaki na 'to?
Ang hahaba ng mga biyas nila! What do they expect from my legs kung 5'4 lang ang height ko! Freaking sky crapers, mauntog sana kayo palagi!
"Unless gusto mo maglakad mag-isa, your choice!" Felix hissed back.
Last thing we know may narinig kaming kumalabog bago kami nagsimula magsipagtakbuhan as if our lives depends on it. In our case, nakasalalay talaga mga buhay namin!
At least that's what it feels like at this moment.
"Argghhhhh!" I dunno who started shouting, but that did not definitely come out from me!
We started running as fast as we could nga and syempre pagdating namin sa room ay para na naman kaming dying fish, napaluhod na ako pagdating na pagdating ko sa room. Hinampas ko ang dibdib ko ng ilang beses dahil feeling ko ayaw lumabas ng hangin o ayaw pumasok.
Hindi nalalayo ang kalagayan ko kay Lorenzo at Felix na parang mga isda din na nawala sa tubig, hays pogi parin kahit dugyot. Napailing nalang ako sa sarili ko, nakikita ko ang favoritism ng may kapal dito ah.
"What on earth happened to you three?" Mich scanned our appearances, silently judging our kadugyutan.
"Ano yan marathon?" Benj said habang tinatapunan kami ng tingin na akala mo tinubuan kami ng isa pang ulo.
"Are you okayyy?" I shot Mary a grateful smile, buti pa ito may concern sa katawan, hays our ever kind Mary.
"Yes.. I think I'm good. I feel better to be exact!" Tumayo na ako at nagpunas ng dumi sa tuhod ko if meron since sumalampak nga ako sa sahig so pinagpagan ko ang mga imaginary gabok na meron ako.
The two dude did the same and naglakad as if walang nangyari, as if hindi sila nagtatakbo, as if hindi sila halos malagutan ng litid sa leeg sa pagsigaw. I gave both of them a suspicious glare, hindi ko parin sure kung sino yung punalirit kanina eh.
"What you looking at?" Felix glare at me, pero hindi nakalagpas sa pandinig ko ang bahagyang pagpiyok ng boses nito sa dulo.
"Hehe phew what a morning hehe." Lorenzo was acting so weird habang hinahawi ng mga daliri niya yung buhok niya, fixing it back to it's place.
"So what happened?" Mary ask nung maupo ako sa usual seat ko katabi niya. Bumuntong hininga ako then I look at her.
"Long story short, we run all the way from our floor to here. Kalalaking tao mga duwag." I frown at them then bumaling na ulit kay Mary who is giggling silently. Hays ganito ba itsura ng anghel kapag tumatawa? I feel smug, pede ko na sabihin na I've seen an angel laugh.
Aish ano ba yan, parang ang simp ko na! Babae ka althea!
Oh well, I just know how to appreciate a beauty and walang mali sakin, tama tama, I'm hundred percent sure na everybody have their girl crush and normal lang 'to!
Huling dumating si Kris na halos kasunod lang si Ma'am Ginalyn, hindi daw siya nagising sa una at ikalawang tunog ng alarm niya.
"So sa ikatlong tunog ka nagising?" curios kong tanong at umiling naman siya, kumunot lalo noo ko.
"Sa ikalima ako nagising, ni hindi ko narinig yung pangatatlo at ikaapat." pinagkrus niya ang mga braso niya at huminga ng malalim.
"Glad to see you all here, considering na waking up this early is not easy and I am quite please na you all look presentable." well mukha ngang proud si Miss Gina while looking at us, she have this approving look while scanning us from head to toe.
"Well anyways, to avoid wasting time we better get moving now. Follow me." And simon says follow her kaya ayun sumunod kami kay ma'am.
Hindi maiwasan na gumala ang tingin ko sa tahimik na corridor, madilim pa rin and few dim lights are lighting our path plus the stars and the moon from outside. I can see few trees from afar na nags-sway kasabay ng paghampas ng banayad na hangin. I have a satisfying smile, ang peaceful naman and suddenly I don't feel so afraid anymore.
"Sabi ko na nga ba natakot lang ako dahil sa kaduwagan nung dalawa." I murmur more to myself and wala naman nakaintindi nun, for sure hindi talaga ako ang duwag.
"Hmm may sinasabi ka ba?" Benj gave me a weirded out look ulit, silently judging me from behind his heavily graded na salamin.
"Shh baby boy, quiet and enjoy the silence." I even gestured my index finger sa may lips ko as I shush the dude and he just rolled his eyes at me.
Miss Ginalyn stopped in front of a large double dark oak door with a golden knob, small intricate design is around the door as two lion heads are attached at the center with a knocker hanging on its mouth.
"Pur" Hindi ko naunawaan kung anong language yun but the door opened after Miss Ginalyn utter those magic words.
We were welcomed by a room full of books and artifacts, it has a second floor also filled with booked shelves and the ceiling was like a century old painting of a world map. I can see somewhat rusty gold na armor and full gear pa ha, paintings, sa isang wall pa ay different kind of swords, my breath hitched at the sight of an axe and other weapons.
There is a round table with a 3d map too, and namilog ang mata ko after recognizing na it was the map of our school and its vicinity. Pero my jaw almost fell after seeing what is in between of two large arc na nasa loob ng kwarto, a watery substance that is lightly glowing and emitting the color sky blue and just like a slime it's moving in an enchanted way.
A freaking portal!?
"What the fudge is that?" I couldn't hold it in anymore, I blurted out the question habang napako ang tingin naming lahat sa door like slime thing.
Are we in a movie or something?
