After saying many goodbyes to my friends (especially my girl friend) I packed my stuff and waited for Lilly and James. They came up to me with sticks in their hands. Oh I'm sorry I mean wands.
"Um...Ok how are we going to England because I can't take a plane..." I still them nervously.
"It doesn't matter because we didn't come here by plane." Lily told me.
"Then how did you get here," I asked suspicious.
"We apperated." James said casually.
Apper-what-a? What do they mean by apperated. Lily saved me form the confusion.
"You idiot he probably dosen't know what apperatsion is." She scolded at James. Lily turned to me.
"It's wizards way of travelling. We usually use port keys for long distances, but we didn't have enough time to get one." Lily stated matter-of-factly.
Geez. Her and Annabeth will hit it off real well if they ever meet. James extended his arm to me and I grabbed it. Let me tell you, it was the worse mistake of my life. My insides twisted and turned. It felt like my whole body was shoved inside a tube. Shadow travelling may have been a bit discomforting but it was at lest fun, while this wasn't.
We landed in a field. My head was dizzy and all over the place. I felt like I was going to chuck but I held it down. James looked at me with a mixture of surprise and disappointment.
"What?" I asked him.
"Usually wizards spew at their first time appperating." He said with a mused voice.
"I can't see why." I said sarcastically.
He laughed and patted my back. Lily looked at us and signalled us to follow her. We walked across the field. As we walked I noticed that the field was surrounded by a forest. The aroma of pine needles was every where. The pine trees towered into the night sky. Wait night sky?!? Oh, yeah there's a time difference. Wild life happily played and called in the forest. What got my attention was that there was 'mythical' creatures in there. I couldn't see them but I could defiantly sense them. I'll have to check it out later.
As the field began to end, in the distant I could see a two-story house. As we neared it I began to see its features. It was entirely made out of wood, it almost camouflaged in with the forest. The house was sturdy and could withstand anything.
Lily unlocked the house and invited me in. I walked inside and gasped. Everything was polish and new. It was immaculate, nothing was out of place. I didn't won't to walk in with my muddy shoes, in fear that I'll would ruin the polish tiles.
James on the other hand walked right in not even bothered to take off his shoes. He left muddy shoes prints everywhere he went. That's when thing got weird. Floating buckets full of water and sponges came along and cleaned the mess up. My jaw dropped. Lily chuckled at my reaction.
"Magic." She whispered in my ear.
Of cause. Magic. Their freaking wizards for a reason. Stupid brain, being to busy being full of kelp.
Lily led me to a room. The walls where painted an ocean blue colour. The carpet where a cream coloured and the ceiling was painted like the sky. A four poster bed sat in the middle of the back wall. Two wooden bedside tables sat either side of the bed. In the left corner, a desk and chair took the area. On the other side a wardrobe was snugged against the wall.
I dropped my bags next to the wardrobe and I started to unpack my things. On the top sat all my clothes, so I unpacked those things first. Next was a first aid kit, that was full of alcohol, bandages, a flask of nectar and a bag of ambrosia. I put the kit in one of the drawers of the bedside tables. Last but not least I grabbed the framed pictures of all my friends. I placed them on both the bedside tables and desk.
Just as I finished, Lily called me down stairs. I quietly ran down stairs. I walked in the kitchen. Lily turned around the jumped on surprise.
"Holly cow Percy you scared me. How did you come down so quiet?"
"Force of habit I guess." The words slipped from my mouth.
"What?" She asked.
Oh Styx.
"Nothing really I'm just used to sneaking around pranking people with a couple of friends of mine." I quickly lied.
"Oh ok."
I mentally patted myself on my back. Those lessons with Conner and Travis had payed off.
"What would you like for tea. It has to be quick because it's late."
"Don't worry I'm not really hungry."
She nodded tiredly. She looked a bit upset.
"What's wrong?" I asked concerned.
"Nothing really. It's a bit stupid. The room your sleeping in used to be your mothers. It hasn't been used since she died. But it's only fitting if her own son used it." Lily sighed.
She walked towards me put her hand on my shoulder.
"We're glad we found you Percy." With that he left to go to bed.
I headed back upstairs to my own room. I changed into my Nemo boxers (don't judge. Everybody loves Nemo!) I looked out the window and I saw Zoë's constellation. I stared at it with tears in my eyes.
"Bob says hello."
I wiped away the tears and hoped into bed, awaiting for what tomorrow will bring me.
