you grew up in west yorkshire
since you were young you had a
passion for being police officer
since your mother was one and she inspired you to become one for the longest time

cut to 20 years later of training
you are now 30 and you are being promoted tomorrow to be on the police team with Sargent Cawood one of the top officers in your team.

today is the day of your promotion
you put on your best police suit obviously need to look professional you head into your ex bosses office as he tells you

"good work miss y/l/n we will miss you"
"you've done us proud,Sargent
Cawood will be lucky to have you"

you smile

"thank you sir" you say

"for everything" as you leave

as your walking to meet the new team your stopped
by one of your old team members stops you your best friend f/n (friends name)

"hey where you going so fast" she laughs

"you know where I'm going" you laugh

"I know I'm gonna miss you know"she says with a sad grin

"same f/n so much" you say happily

she smiles
"you know that Sargent cawood is a tough one" she laughs

"I bet well I say bring it on" I say ready for the challenge

"see you at break tell me all about it" she leaves

you smile as she walks away but your also sad that you won't work with her again

now you are at the door of Sargent Cawoods office to get your badge
you breathe in and out before you knock on the door

as you are about to knock on the door the door opens that startled you to jump not expecting it

"oh honey are you alright" cawood laughs

you smile
"yes,yes I'm alright just not expecting that"

"aw bless you come in"
she says she moves her hand in jester for ladies first

you smile
"oh thanks"

you walk in and sit down in front of her desk as she follows closely behind and sits opposite you

"so I imagine your the new team member miss-" she looks at her sheet of paper
"y/l/n" and looks back up at you

"yep that's me" you say shyly looking at her and at her paper

"great im excited to be working with you I can tell you have potential to go far" she smiles at you

you smile
"no honestly I'm excited to be working with you I mean everyone thinks your a tough officer" you smile

your smile quickly fades

she makes a questionable face
not saying anything and staring in your eyes

you think to yourself that you said the wrong thing

she starts to speak
"oh yeah who said that"

you start to say
"uh no one-"

she cuts you off

"or do you believe that I'm going to be tough on you"

you stay silent

she tilts her head

you think to yourself that you've cocked up ur first day
