Here in New York City, namely, aboard the Shield Helicarrier hovering above it to be exact, Peter Parker had just got finished with yet another training session ordered up by Direct Nick Fury. The teenage Spider-Man was sweaty, sore, and reeking of gym clothes stench after having to brawl with his partners' Cage, Danny, and Sam all at once. It really put his reflexes to the absolute roughest time, basically knocking him around all over the arena and making Peter forced to rely on his Spider-sense ninety percent of the time. He honestly had no idea how that was supposed to help him exactly, but one thing did concern Peter was the odd behavior of his fourth teammate Ava Ayala; AKA White Tiger.
He pulled his mask off and let out a loud breath of exhaustion, rubbing his shoulders with one of his hands he wondered just how the sole female teammate was doing today. The training session they just undertook had her going all feral on him in a way that'd make Wolverine look like a tamed puppy. Seriously, it was both scary...and arousing to Peter. It did make him wonder though that maybe she was being affected by that special Talisman of hers again, for the most part, it seemed Ava was still completely in control despite acting like a living lioness in human clothing. Peter only had half-a-dozen claw marks around his body this time instead of the usual twenty-seven, but still, he felt the need to check on the wild Latina girl and see if she was in need of any assistance from him.
'I sure hope Ava is doing alright, maybe it's not what I'm thinking it is, buuuut....it never hurts to be safe. She's been calmer and resolved ever since our run-in with Kraven the Hunter the last time around. Ava was a completely different person entirely until she won back her Talisman from his control, but I can tell she still wanted to eviscerate him for what he did to her father. Not that I can blame her to be honest, seeing the man that murdered your father is not something you can just shake off overnight. I know that better than anyone, maybe that's why I.....kinda fell for her. In any case, she definitely needs a shoulder to lean on or at least somebody to talk to right now.' Peter decided and arrived in front of Ava's room here on the Shield Helicarrier.
All of Peter's teammates including himself had special lodgings on-site for quicker access to emergency missions and important situations. He still lived mainly at home with his aunt May, seeing as how he was still in High School right now, but Peter felt his team was basically like a new family of begrudging siblings that barely got along with each other. He looked up at the Tiger Symbol on her door, one that matched the face of her Talisman, and raised a hand up to begin knocking on it announcing his presence.
"Ava, it's me; Web-head, are you in there? I need to talk to you and see if you're okay." He called out and heard slight shuffling noises from behind the door, making him perk an eyebrow until the security lock on the latch flashed green permitting him entry. 'Doing the whole quiet loner bit, eh? Fine, I'll see what's gotten your tail in a twist, Miss Tigerific.'
"Come in, Peter." Her voice came out from behind and he walked into her bedroom noticing that everything was completely dark save for the window by her bed showing the night sky. Ava's bedroom had some modest unassuming furnishings around her room, save for some exotic trinkets and decorations pertaining to her more Hispanic heritage, but otherwise, it was basically a normal one with Ava seated on her bed looking at Peter from within the dark.
"Close the door behind you, and be sure to lock it." She demanded out in a surprisingly tense voice.
'Oookay, this is getting weird, is it that time of the month for her or something?' Peter wondered as he shrugged he obliged her request. He turned around and closed the high-tech sliding door before swiping his keycard across the lock making sure no one got in without either their say-so. What he failed to notice was that Ava got up onto her bed, placing herself on all fours with legs spread apart along the sides and hands behaving like claws as though she was ready to pounce on him.
