*The scene starts from Abhimanyu finding Akshara before they find a place to stay until the bridge is repaired and get drunk. In my version, Goenkas and Birlas are not gonna reach there before morning and we'll put the whole scenario to some good use instead of wasting it the way DKP did. 🥱*

Akshara got down the car as soon as she spotted Abhimanyu and ran towards him who also got down the bike, took his helmet off and ran towards her. They met halfway in a hug as she started sobbing in his embrace while he caressed her head softly, assuring her and himself that she was fine.

He had always been fearless in life. No matter the circumstances, he had faced everything head-on. But today, when Akshara had gone missing and no one was able to find her anywhere, he had felt this strong sense of dread. A chill had went down his spine, turning his entire body cold at just the thought of something happening to her.

“Why do you do this Akshuuu ? WHY ? Do you enjoy watching me helpless infront of you ? Watching the Abhimanyu Birla, who had never felt even an ounce of fear in his life, going bonkers over the thought of anything happening to you ? Why can't you understand ? I WOULD HAVE DIED!” - his words were chiding but his tone was pleading as he held her close to his heart. Not ready to let her go. Yet. Ever.

Her sniffing continued as she leaned back slightly. Opening her mouth to justify herself but right that moment, his phone rang. He pulled it out to find that Bade Papa was calling him and he quickly received the call.

“Bade Papa I have found Akshu. She is safe and with me.” - he said before turning on the speaker and motioning her to talk.

She told her family the whole story that how she got stuck here because her car had stopped working and assured them that she was fine now, coming home.

“No beta. You both would have to wait because the bridge has collapsed this evening. They are repairing it and until it gets sorted, stay there.” - Bade Papa informed and they both looked at each other. Their gazes a mixture of longing and nervousness.

“Abhimanyu...” - Bade Papa adressed him in a tone that made him known that the former wanted to talk just to him now. He turned off the speaker and stepped aside to listen.

“Thank you for finding Akshu. Take care of her AND of yourself. I'll let your family know that you are fine as well.” - Abhimanyu felt a warmth Bade Papa's tone radiated even through the call.

“Thank you.” - he whispered just in time before the call disconnected as his phone powered off after indicating low battery.

He sighed. At least they had informed the family they are fine.

“Battery dead.” - he said walking towards her. “Let's find somewhere to stay till morning. Leave the car here just take the keys.” - he said and she gave him a sheepish look, tucking her hair behind her ear.

“Uh...” - she looked pointedly inside the car and he followed her gaze to see the car keys peacefully inserted in the engine.

He returned his gaze to her, as his mind conjured up memories of the day when he had come to her home for the first time. To ask for her hand in marriage. He averted his eyes away, trying his best to hide the pain he was feeling and clearing his throat, adressed her again.

“What can be done now. Leave it here and let's go.” - his tone was betraying his composure. And the fact that he wasn't meeting her eyes either didn't help.

She felt, once again, a sharp pang of guilt. Her conscience pinching her to not ruin three lives and speak her heart out but she couldn't muster up the courage to do so.
