I watched the world burn before my eyes that night.
The flames consumed it all; the homes, the playgrounds, the barricade, the school, the market. It all burned. Nothing was left untouched.
Gunfire sounded through the night, bodies falling one after the other amongst the rumble only to be taken by the fire. The bullets never missed.
Screams echoed as we ran, dying of one by one as we were hit. We could do nothing but try to survive.
The trees fell with us, bringing our city with them, the rope bridges snapping. We were too busy trying to escape to notice the falling trees that crushed a few of us. Escaping them was our only concern. Better be crushed to death then shot by on of them, allowing them a victory.
Above us the blue moon shone, its mystical glow reminding us the She was resting, exhausted from protecting us every day aside from tonight, and could not help us. Her sacred night was tarnished by them, their darkness tainting it.
Blood soiled the ground, painting the flowers a sickening red. Bodies tainted the scenery, destroying something that had once been beautiful.
And amongst this chaos, I stood. I stood amongst the bodies and the blood. I stood amongst the rumble and below the sacred moon. I stood amongst flames that threatened to engulf me and what had once been a great civilazition. I stod amonst my people as they killed us off.
I stood amongst ashes.
And I would rise from these ashes. I wuld avenge my people.
I would have revenge for attempting to destry us.
We would not let them. I would not let them.
