LAURA STARRING'S POV
I walked up the path in the army of pine trees, the dirt path engraved with thousands of footprints before mine. I wondered as I walked. So this was the way to THE Academy. THE Academy isn't actually called THE Academy people just refer to it as that- it's actually called Talent Academy but people always called it THE Academy because it was made especially for the people with the best talents and potential to achieve the best. I wonder how this started again?
*A FLASHBACK THAT WILL PROBABLY EXPLAIN SOME OF YOUR QUESTIONS*
I looked out of the window, a clear sky of pure azure and warmth from the sun. Mr.Harring continued to lecture us about soil. SOIL!!! Can you believe it? He just HAD to lecture us about the dirt underneath our very shoes. "Miss Laura Starring." I hear him bellow my name, so I look up."There's a message for you. Go to the Principal's office."He continues. I stand up and pack my things... My shoes echo as they collide with the floor and stop in front of double oak wood doors. My knuckles brush against them before hearing a gentle voice say "Come in". I grasp the golden door knob, my heart pounding rapidly, my hand trembling. Although our principal is nice, it's best not to get on her bad side. I push the door open and I say "Hello Ms.Kerning, i-is th-there something wrong?", my voice shaking. "No Laura, there is nothing wrong just a simple matter. Please, take a seat." she replies reassuringly behind her wooden desk lined with gold as a border. I oblige with what she says before I ask her "What might be the matter?", she opens a draw at her desk and hands me a royal blue envelope with gold swirls all around the envelope leaving a oval shape left in the middle with my name and address on it. I gently take the beautifully decorated envelope and open it.
