THE PAST
2 years ago"Tae, they're great songs," Yoongi said over the phone. "I wish you could sing them yourself."
"Thanks but they're... better suited for Jimin and Kook," Taehyung replied.
Yoongi hummed.
"Different arrangements for different people and different styles. But for the guide you sent, yeah, they probably suit those two better. So are you going to tell me your inspiration for them or do I have to make assumptions?" Yoongi asked curiously.
Taehyung sighed tiredly.
"Hyung. I don't know what you want from me. Don't ask me questions you know the answer too."
"I want you to admit you miss them as much as they miss you and come home already, Tae. It's been four years. Do you really think you're in danger, that they are?" Yoongi questioned.
"You're included in that 'they', Hyung," Tae reminded him. "So yeah. I'd prefer not to risk any lives."
Yoongi sighed.
"Can't you at least call them? Send a message somehow? Let them know that you're alive?" Yoongi's voice had a plea in it. "It's not easy for me either, Tae."
Tae's guilt swelled in his chest.
"I'm sorry, Hyung."
"I know, Tae-ah. Are you well? Are your nightmares still bothering you?"
"Most days. Some are worse than others." Tae rubbed his face tiredly. "The songs helped though. Writing them."
"Why?"
"Because they're good songs, happy songs. Euphoria made me think about all the good times, and Serendipity was the same, but it hurt a little more."
"Then try to focus on writing more things like that," Yoongi suggested.
"Easier said than done," Tae mumbled. "But I'll try."
"Let me know next time you come to Seoul, okay? I'll meet you wherever you want."
"Thanks, Hyung. Send me the files, okay? And make sure you re-record the guide before you show 2J. I don't want them to recognise my voice."
"The only idiot here is you, Tae," Yoongi drawled with annoyance.
"I love you, too, Hyung," Tae scoffed.

THE PRESENT
"This behaviour is so beneath all of you as people and artists," Bang PD said, eyes hard and disapproving on all of them.
Taehyung eyed the bottle of champagne in Sejin-Hyung's hand with regret and averted his eyes from the disappointed glare from Bang PD.
"Sejin, take Taehyung to my office."
"I'd really rather go home," Taehyung said in a bored tone, throwing all his manners out the window.
If he was going down this road, he may as well go all the way. Jimin sucked in a shocked breath and even Jungkook looked like he didn't understand. Taehyung rolled his neck.
"And I'd rather not put up with your bratty attitude, Kim Taehyung," Bang PD replied sharply. "But we don't always get what we want. My office. Now. The rest of you, go home, cool off. Your managers will contact you in the morning with meeting times."
