"𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺.. 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦.."
His words keep on repeating in my mind. Why do all these people have to be so cruel? I trusted him. I feel like he just stabbed me right in the chest. When I was already drowning in my hardships. I knew Mr. Chad was just exaggerating when he said, I was so special for him to waste his 7 hours on me, This was his plan all along to hand me over to Jack Williams. I feel betrayed! All he cares about is money.
As we reach his car, Mr. Lincoln is smiling. The audacity of this man to smile at me while giving up on me. I won't forgive him for this.
"Come on... Leo we will have so much fun going back home. I have brought your favorite comics as well." said the old man which made me cringe.
He even opened the door for me to act like he is a caring grandfather..he grab my hand and try to make me sit in the car. He is acting so clingy. I HATE HIM.
" I will handle it from here thank you for helping. Gilbert." said the old man. noticing that Mr. Lincoln is still holding my hand.
"He won't go," said Mr. Lincoln making eye contact with my grandfather. What?
I am so confused, why the sudden change of plans?
"What do you mean he won't go.." he asked
he paused for a second "Is it about payment? Didn't I pay you enough? " said the old man, Mr. Lincoln rolled his eyes. He looks mad.
"I don't want anything... The kid is not going anywhere with you.. " said Mr. Lincoln grabbing my hand and pulling me aside. Is he reconsidering his plan? What are his intentions?
"What exactly is your problem... Do you always treat your people like this?" said the old man angrily.
"No sir you are special," said Mr. Lincoln smiling at the old man.
"HERE! have some more money now let my son go," said the old man, forcefully handing some cash to Mr. Lincoln.
"Okay. You may go." said Mr. Lincoln smirking at the old man, "But" he continues "I didn't give you permission to take him. You are leaving alone because your freedom is over now.!" said Mr. Lincoln,
After a few seconds, I hear a police car coming towards us. Two men got out of the car and one of them handcuffed Grandpa. The look on his face is priceless. I don't know what is happening but I like it.
" WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?" said Grandpa while fighting back.
"I am assuming either you are blind or deaf because you are getting arrested for child abuse," said Mr. Lincoln in his raspy voice. He sure is angry right now.
"He is a liar! He is framing me." said grandpa almost coming at us.
"Framing you? Let me show you if I am telling the truth or not" said Mr. Lincoln, he grabbed my arm and pulled my sleeves up to show my scars to the police officers. "Ouch.." I let out a cry, that kinda hurt because he did it all of a sudden not that it wasn't hurting all this time but I wasn't paying much attention, I guess it won't hurt me if I don't think about it. Although no scars should be forgotten like this. Sometimes speaking up for yourself can save your life.
"NO! He did it to himself. I didn't do it... Gilbert doesn't listen to him... I even paid you a lot of money to get him back to me because he was gonna hurt himself.." said the old man let out a fake cry... My ears hurt hearing his voice! Mr. Lincoln slapped him hard. I flinched because of how loud the slap sounded.
