They were done training for the day.

Jungkook was getting way better at fighting, noticing how Taehyung finally fought him fair today.

The locker room was empty except for the sound of running water from the showers.

Jungkook glanced toward the steam-filled space where Taehyung was, before turning his attention back to the metal locker in front of him.

With practiced ease, he rummaged through Taehyung's things, flipping through the contents of his duffel bag before spotting his phone.

He pressed the power button, and the lock screen greeted him.

He smirked.

He punched in an old password from years ago. The screen unlocked instantly.

"No way you're this dumb." Jungkook muttered under his breath.

A laugh almost escaped him.

Taehyung had always been careless with things like this. Predictable, in his own strange way.

Yet, as he scrolled through the phone, Jungkook frowned.. there was nothing useful.

No messages, no notes, nothing that could help him understand Taehyung.

Just a bunch of unread emails and a blank gallery. As if he had wiped everything clean.

Frustrated, he tossed the phone back in the locker and pulled out Taehyung's wallet instead.

It was familiar, the edges slightly worn, the leather soft from years of use.

Jungkook ran his fingers over the tiny scuffs and folds, remembering how Taehyung always kept his money folded in neat halves, how he would arrange his cards in a specific order..

ID in the front, membership cards in the back, cash precisely in the middle.

It was a habit Jungkook had noticed back then, when they were still... something.

His breath caught when he flipped open one of the hidden compartments and found a small, creased photo tucked inside.

It was of him.

Jungkook, in college, wearing a hoodie and his old round glasses, looking down at a book with a small frown, completely unaware that the photo had been taken.

His stomach twisted. Why the hell was Taehyung carrying this?

Before he could think further, strong arms wrapped around his waist from behind.

"You really need to stop sneaking around, Jungkook," Taehyung's deep voice came, low and teasing against his ear.

Jungkook jolted and shoved him away, the wallet slipping from his hands.

The photo fluttered to the ground between them.

His heart pounded as he reached for it, but Taehyung was faster, snatching it up with a smirk.

''That's mine," Jungkook snapped, trying to grab it back.

Taehyung held it out of reach. "It was in my wallet. Which means it's mine."

"It's my face!"

"But it was in my possession, so by law-"

'Law?!" Jungkook scoffed. "You're seriously going to argue property rights over a photo?''

Taehyung only grinned. "Possession is nine-tenths of the law."

Jungkook groaned, rubbing his temple. "You're infuriating."
