~Flora's POV~
I stretched my legs out beneath the blankets covering Knox and I as we laid in his bed later that night, a little smile on my lips. "Comfy?" Knox snorted when I pressed myself into his side.
"Yes." I hummed happily, tracing my fingertips over the tattoo on his rib cage. I placed a soft kiss on the ink, secretly feeling a little happy about the goosebumps that rose on his skin from the action. "You're warm." I told him in a content mumble. He wrapped a strong arm around my waist and pulled me closer, kissing the top of my head. "Glad you seem to think so." He smiled and brushed his fingertips up and down over my bare arm, the pads of his fingers rough yet gentle.
We cuddled together in his bed until I began to drift off to sleep, my eyes fluttering shut without me even realizing it.
However, I was woken up several hours later by gentle shakes on my shoulder, the action causing me to whine quietly and roll away from him to bury my cheek into his pillows. I stretched an arm above my head and tried to go back to sleep, not fully awake enough to pay attention.
"Come on, doll." Knox said softly, his warm hand gently clasping onto my waist. I grumbled in complaint and cracked an eye open to peek up at him as he sat beside me on the bed. "What?" I mumbled sleepily.
"You've got to get up now, doll. Gabriela's supposed to be back soon. She called me all drunk from the back of her friend's car, apparently." He told me, his words only making me huff in complaint. I rolled over onto my back and stared up at him, unhappily opening my eyes. "Already?" I frowned, reluctantly sitting up with the blanket clutched to my bare chest. "What time is it?" I asked quietly.
Knox glanced behind him to his nightstand while I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. "It's half past four AM." He answered, causing my eyes to widen in surprise and look up at him, shocked. "You mean I slept four six hours?" I complained, slightly annoyed at myself for having fallen asleep earlier. I'd spent probably half our night together just sleeping, like an idiot.
He just chuckled, looking down at me with a little smile tugging at the edge of one side of his mouth. "You did, yes." He said as he brushed his fingers through my hair, tucking the short strands behind my ear. I sighed, frowning. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to fall asleep." I apologized, but he just gave me a shake of his head as if to dismiss the apology. "Don't apologize, doll." He hummed. "I didn't mind it. Having you beside me was enough for me."
I smiled and leaned closer to him, pressing a soft kiss against his lips. My eyes flicked to the clock beside his bed after I pulled away, still clutching the blankets to my chest when I moved to grab my bra from the floor by the bed.
After I secured my bra in place, I found my underwear and slipped them on beneath the blankets, only stepping out of bed once my undergarments were on. I pulled on my clothes and looked over at Knox as he sat leisurely in bed, his bicep flexed as he raised it behind his head. His other hand rested on his abs while he watched me get dressed, the intensity of his gaze making my cheeks burn.
"You're staring." I stated, cocking up an eyebrow as I fixed my shirt. A playful smile tugged at his mouth and he stretched his leg out, the blanket shifting lower down his hips. "Why wouldn't I? I'm simply admiring." He shrugged a shoulder.
Smiling, I finished pulling on my clothes and made my way to him, brushing my fingertips up the ridges of his abs as I leaned over his large frame. He looped an arm around my waist and pulled me closer, staring up at me through hooded eyes. "You should get going soon, yeah?" He muttered, but I ignored his suggestion and instead pressed another kiss to his lips.
My teeth nipped playfully at his bottom lip and tugged, causing his fingers to dig into my waist as a soft groan rumbled through his chest. I grinned at the sound and pulled away, feeling his heart hammering beneath my palm when I placed my hand over his pec.
"God, you're a tease." He narrowed his eyes up at me as I slid my fingertips down his chest again, pressing another quick kiss to his mouth before I stood straight. "I probably should go." I chuckled, running a hand through my hair.
I turned away and laughed quietly when he delivered a hard smack to my butt, grabbing my shoes from where I had kicked them off beside the end of his bed. "I'll see you later, yeah?" I grinned, glancing at him as I pulled on my shoes. He shifted, drawing my attention to the tent beneath the blankets, and nodded his head. "Of course, doll." He agreed softly.
Once we said our goodbyes, I exited his apartment and entered mine across the hall, locking my front door behind me. I kicked my shoes off by the door and wandered into my bedroom, searching through my dresser for something more comfortable to change into. Despite the fact that I had slept for the past six hours or so, I was still feeling a little tired.
Wanting to go back to sleep, I quickly changed into a comfortable tee-shirt and a pair of shorts before I flopped into bed, eventually drifting off into dream land.
