That morning, Yun knocked on Remigius's room and after a minute of no response, he opened the door to find fitted bedsheets, folded pyjamas, and an empty hook beside the desk with no book bag in sight.

Aston and Sonya were absent from their Ivion class, assuming Angelo pulled them out to talk about last night's events. He hoped they didn't get into too much trouble =, though it was out of his control now. Yun spent the class transcribing Maven's notes from yesterday while simultaneously scrawling out whatever nonsense Mr. Ochet droned on about.

It distracted him enough from the nerves jittering in his body. His mind flooded with thoughts of last night and Remigius. The boy had been so jumpy, and although Yun believed him when he said he wasn't angry with him, it made no sense!

Knowing Remigius, he would have to poke and prod until he relented. Sometimes, it was like pulling teeth with pliers, where Remigius never gave him a straight answer, but Yun's curiosity didn't matter as long as the stress lines on Remigius's face thinned out.

After slumping on his desk, he tuned out Mr. Ochet's monotone voice to replace it with ideas on how to approach Remigius later, until everyone gathered their books and supplies to head to the next class.

"Yun," Maven nudged his shoulder. "Were you zoning out of class again?"

"I was awake for the last part."

"It's only the second day of class. Take this seriously! You can't just cram everything last minute like before."

"I didn't mean to zone out. I'm just tired."

"Then stop staying up with Remigius talking about who knows what." Maven rolled her eyes. "You know, I can hear when you sneak him in at home. You guys aren't that quiet, you know that?"

"I wasn't up talking with Rem," Yun hissed through his gritted teeth, surprising himself by how the frustration seeped out like water in a bottomless bucket. "He's acting all weird and I can't figure out why, and I can't even ask him because I haven't seen him 'cause he left early this morning, so now I can't get it out of my mind, so this stupid class and old teacher is the last thing on my mind!"

"Mr. Yukamara." Mr. Ochet's slicked hair bounced as his chin raised with the tiniest smirk on his lips. For god's sake. "Flex period. You'll be sorting my file cabinet."

"But—!"

Mr. Ochet was already greeting the next class. With a groan, Yun stuffed his notebook in his bag and lugged himself out of that damn class. Great, now Mr. Ochet knew his hatred for him was reciprocated.

"Yun..." Maven caught up to him, matching his footsteps as they walked side by side in the buzzing hallway. "Yun, don't walk away from me."

"Why," he said, wallowing.

"Because you're upset," she said. "What happened last night? Is Remigius angry at you?"

He scoffed, though a hint of a sigh softened it. "If he was, I would have apologized to him already and solved it."

"Then I don't see how you could have upset him. We didn't get in trouble with Headmaster Angelo and I don't remember you saying anything too stupid to him."

The words lifted the weight in his chest, especially since they came from Maven. "I don't understand, Mave. What do I do?"

"Stupid Remigius," she tutted. "What's bothering him is probably all up in his head, you know him. Give it a few hours, and he'll drag his sorry ass back to you after he realizes he's an idiot. You've come back from worse fights than this. Remember the confrontation?"
