"Roach.."

The Beginning. [Prologue]

Roach groaned, his back aching from the stone wall he's been leaning on. He's been awake for what, 5 minutes? His posture was already faltering. Then again, he just experienced a fire yesterday, his entire body was probably sore from burns and his muscles ached from stress. He tried to ignore it, using the coldness from the wall to calm down his nerves, attempting to numb the pain. It wasn't working at all. This sucked. Why did this have to happen to him? Of all people? Did Ghost even escape the fire? Was he dead? Or was he held hostage in his own room?

It didn't take long before his stone door creaked open, sounded like nails on a chalk board.
, Ah, Sergeant! You're awake. ,"
A,, doctor? Scientist? Whatever he was, didn't matter. He knew his title.
, Don't look so surprised, sir. The General has already informed me on everything. You must be in so much pain. ,"
The man said, with a mockingly pitiful voice.
, We've been given orders to help you with the trauma and pain from the flames. In a new way we've discovered. Haven't had a negative on a patient yet, so you're in good hands. ,"

Roaches fear only grew, his lips sealing as he violently shook his head. He could feel that it wasn't going to be safe. 'No negatives, yet.' This was clearly still a prototype in the making. A 10 year old could guess it. Roach held his hands up, getting ready to sign. The doctor looked at him, eyes of curiosity, like he wasn't informed of Roaches lack of speaking. Roach took a deep breath, before starting to sign.
, I don't care what it is you'll do. I'd rather die than experience it. ,"
The doctor smiled.
, Oh Sanderson, you poor thing. That's exactly what we're going to do. ,"
The doctor hummed, walking to Roach and grabbing his wrists.
, You'll "live", but you'll wish you could die again. ,"
The man said, a dangerous smile on his face.
