Chen Yibo survived the first evening as a boyfriend.

He had never known being a boyfriend would make him more nervous than Wong Xue Guo sitting on his lap. Perhaps it was the responsibility that came as a boyfriend that gave him the idea of needing to perform well.

Not even the thoughts around him manage to distract him from the new feeling that gripped his heart in an addictive but sweet way.

To be a good boyfriend, he had to understand what he needed to do. Unfortunately, he seldom watches romantic movies, and when he finally got the chance to, he was disturbed by the zombie invasion at the shopping mall. So, his only close-up reference was his classmates experiencing puppy love. They were rather sticky, clinging, openly affectionate and like to pair people up now that they were in a relationship.

With his understanding of Wong Xue Guo, she would want civility in public, but closeness when they were alone.

Does... Does he need to hold hands with her? Hug her? Even... kiss?

Not many were concerned about the little girl being here alone, as they were inside Musihada Laboratory, where everyone worked together and trusted to still retain basic human decency.

'The parents will come for the little girl later.'

'No one will kidnap this little girl.'

"Hello, little friend," Chen Yibo greeted lightly when he reached the little girl.

The little girl stared up at Chen Yibo with clear eyes, remaining mute.

["Oh, a fellow 'Bestowed'. Seems to be quite strong."]

Bestowed? Is this the other term of 'Awaken' that Zene's group had referred to themselves as?
