"Achoo!" he sneezed. He was sitting alone, surrounded by books, looking absolutely exhausted.

"Bless you!" you said, but there was no response. You were only sitting a table away and you were sure that he had heard you. He turned and looked at you as if just noticing your presence for the first time, even though you had been here for the past two hours. All he did was stare.

"Salute," you tried. Still staring. "Gesundheit?" It was almost a question at this point, but it seemed to have finally shaken him out of his dazed state.

"Oh, um, t-thank you," he stuttered.

"Anytime," you said. "Why are you here so late? It's almost closing time."

"Um, potions essay. Due tomorrow."

"Are you procrastinating?" you asked, a smile stretching across your face.

"N-no," he said. Then he frowned, "Maybe."

You laughed quietly, "Yeah, well, potions isn't my best subject either." You started to pack up your stuff because you wanted to make it back to the common room before curfew. You started to walk away, "Good luck."

"My name is Harry, by the way," he called quietly after you.

"I know," you said. "Everyone knows that."

You were walking to the Great Hall for dinner when you noticed a familiar boy who had a scar on his forehead.

Walking in line next to him you said, "Hey, how did that potions essay go today?"

Harry seemed startled by your sudden presence, and when he noticed it was you, that didn't exactly help him relax either. "I-it went fine. I think. Okay, so the essay was terrible and I probably failed, but I mean I think that I've done worse on essays in his class before, but I still should have done better than I did this time."

You cut off his rambling with a small laugh. "Harry, I'm sure that you did fine."

"Thanks," He said, then realized something. "You know I never actually got your name."

You smiled, "Y/N, I'm Y/N."

"That's a good name," He whispered.

"Thanks."

"What? No, I-I'm sorry, I didn't-"

"I said thanks, dork," you laughed. He seemed to be growing even more nervous around you, which you didn't think would be possible at this point.

"You said that you weren't very good at potions either, right?" He asked.

"Right," you said, wondering where he was going with this.

"Well, I was thinking that maybe tonight we could go to the black lake and be terrible at potions together," he said, but then added quickly, "only if you want to."

"Harry Potter, are you asking me on a date?"

"Well, I know that we only just met and it's kind of weird, but it only has to be a date if you want it to and-"

You cut him off, "Yes, I would love to go to the Black Lake with you and suck at potions together. As a date. Meet me seven?"

You saw him smile from ear to ear and he looked as if he was going to say something, but you two had reached the Great Hall and you were already walking towards your friends.

Just as you sat down, your friend turned to you and raised an eyebrow, "You and Harry Potter?"

You smiled and turned to look to where the boy who lived was sitting, only to him see him already staring in your direction, looking away quickly once the two of you had made eye contact. You turned back to your friend, the smile still evident on your face. "Maybe."
