Reynolds and Princess sat on the bench, watching as the cleanup unit did their job. A week had passed since that incident at the dome. The investigation unit had categorized the daemon as a white phase, or more precisely, a level 3 daemon. Whatever that meant.

Stan had been buried. The poor kid. Reynolds had received a well-earned slap from the boy's mother. Apparently he was the only boy among three girls, plus their father had died in car crash. They'd receive some money which would be enough to last them a year or two but then, there was nothing to replace Stan. Even the unfeeling Princess was moody.

As for the inquisitor and the rogue, they were gone. Nobody saw it but he saw the guy who took them. He wore the same outfit as the rogue, but he exuded a much greater and menacing pressure. Almost like a...

The cleanup unit were done, as for the repairs, that would be someone else's job, not theirs.

"I see that you guys are doing a great job." Barry said.

Reynolds turned to face him, almost screaming. "Where the hell have you been?"

"I thought you had joined the rogue faction." Princess said, confused as her boss.

"Well, I was rescued, treated and let go. Nothing about recruitment anywhere, trust me. They wanted me gone."

"Where did they keep you?"

"Dunno." Barry said. "All I know is that I was saved by them. Crazy, right?"

Reynolds shook his head and let out a short laugh. Looked like it wasn't all gloom after all. "So, what are you going to do now? I heard that you were an ex-inquisitor."

"Oh, me. I just go back to them. Can't run forever and I?"

"I'd have offered you a job, y'know." Reynolds said.

"No thanks," Barry said, walking away "Besides, if you have a guy like me on your team, you'd never rest easy."

"I'd see you some day."

"Yeah, you too."

Reynolds watched as he walked away, disappearing into the crowd. "You know, Captain Elizabeth wanted to see him concerning the rogues." Princess said.

"Yeah, but who cares." Reynolds said. Princess shrugged, a short smile forming on her face.

The refurbishments to the bar were almost done. Just a few added touches and it would be opening up in no time. He talked to the workers, asking them about some stuff, making few changes here and there. He sat on one of the chairs, calculating a few expenses. His wife Freda would be a little pissed. But it was for the best. Finding a job wasn't easy. Owning one was even much more of a hassle. These days the only job that paid well-and trust him he knew- was being a daemon hunter. And that wasn't something he wanted to get into, not now, not ever.

At least since it was a daemon that wrecked his store, most of the cost would be on the government.

"Hey."

Paul turned, a smile forming on his face. "I'll be damned. Barry where the hell have you been."

"Someplace far away, seems like I wasn't gone long enough."

"You can say that again." Paul stood up, hugging Barry.

"So," Paul said, "I'm guessing you're moving away?"

"Yeah," Barry said, "Regretfully, I'm taking your advice and going back home."

"That doesn't sound like regret."

"Well, I've had a long time to think about it, and...yeah. No more running, I guess."

Paul shook his hand, "I'm gonna lose a customer sadly."
