It was never supposed to be like this, really. All I wanted was to get through this and then live a peaceful life. Something we all want right?

"Y/n L/n. To the stand, please." As I stood up, the chains jingled, the only noise you could hear in the courtroom. They felt as if they were rocks, making it feel almost impossible to move. However, I pulled myself over, taking my place on the stand. A bible was brought to me as we began to swear me in.

"Do you promise to tell the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?"

"I promise to tell the whole truth, and nothing but the truth."

I knew I got myself into a sticky situation. It wasn't supposed to be like this. I wasn't supposed to be here. I was supposed to be home, free of burden. But what can I say, work for a traitor, get betrayed.

"God so help you?"

"God so help me."

If only I knew beforehand where I would end up.

"How do you plead against the crime of treason?"

"Guilty."

"Is anyone forcing or threatening you to plead guilty?"

"No, your honor." I huffed, blinking harshly. They never expected me to admit my mistakes. But if I'm going to the grave, at least let me do it with my own dignity.

Ironic, a man named Graves sent me to my grave. Guess I could have said no. Gotta hold some responsibility for my actions. Even if I'm being charged with war crimes.

I glanced over as the officers began to push me toward an execution cell. They wasted no time getting rid of me. Maybe because of what happened, they didn't trust me on my own for a second. I met eyes with Ghost first. I could immediately feel my heart break as his nutmeg chocolate eyes seemed filled with sadness. He was never expressive, but when he was- God, it hurt.

My eyes then shifted to König, tears slipping down past his blonde lashes, barely hidden behind his hood. My heart broke even more and I couldn't stand to look anymore. I mouthed I'm sorry before they pushed me through the doorway. Immediately getting much rougher with me.

"You're lucky cameras are around, otherwise I'd have my way with you," One of the guards growled, yanking me towards him. They took turns saying disturbing things. Threatening me with empty words or pulling me around like I was weightless.

Before I knew it, I was set into a chair, my body being held down with various belts spaced against my body. It felt like a big hug, but it was uncomfortable as a nurse walked in. A witness also followed her in. Someone unbiased had to make sure I was dead. They prepared the IV and started the recording. I was going to be made an example of.

"Any last words?" The nurse seemed semi-empathic as she adjusted everything, getting ready to let the poison fill my veins. I pursed my lips. Thinking for a moment.

"They'll remember me for the bad things I did. Not the things I accomplished." I could see the confused glance on her face as she started to adjust the value to allow the liquid poison to flow.
