(( takes place in s2 of samurai rabbit! ))

Usagi  strode through the more beat-up end of Gen's house.

Toshiko insisted on keeping the place undone, so the yokai could inhabit it. Unknown to her, Usagi had already started cleaning up a room to make it into a training area, before she ordered the place to kept a bit dusty. So, instead of abandoning his getaway, he kept cleaning it. It was sort of therapeutic, and why throw away hard work? Not like anyone would know, anyway. No one went back here.

Usagi fidgeted with his ears, he still got a bit nervous around yokai, even though he knew they meant no harm 9/10 times. He left his sword in his training room, so he was going back to retrieve it. He felt unsafe as hell, like he could be hurt at any turn.

The rabbit almost sighed in relief as he neared his private training area. He paused, mid-step.

"YOU'RE NOT GONNA BEAT ME THIS TIME!"

"YOU CAN BARELY CONTROL YOUR KATANAS! HOW CAN YOU BEAT ME?"

Usagi braced himself. He carefully parted the door, peeking in— to see three, no, there was another one behind the largest (so four) kappa, two of them sparring.

Yuichi glanced around his "dojo" of sorts. Completely undamaged, he noticed. And the kappa wielding the katanas could more than control them, almost as well as the other kappa used his bo staff, Usgai thought to himself. What did he know about kappa? He couldn't remember anything significant, just that you could give them cucumbers. Or was it pickles? He couldn't remember, which was odd.

Yuichi started quickly mumbled out everything he could recall about kappa. No doubt, these four were invaders. The tallest one— wearing red, he noted—was bulky, and definitely built for battle. He looked taller than Gen. The others looked more accustomed for stealth- though, they might be too loud for that. Maybe they worked for the Bats? Didn't Gen pay them off, though? He tried to remember if they had any cucumbers in stock. None, since Chizu didn't like them and she did the shopping, Yuichi mumbled under his breath, barely audible.

"Uh, bunny dude?"

Maybe the kappa could hear him, though.

Usagi's head jolted up in shock. It took him a minute to register all four of the invaders staring at them. He assumed the orange one— the smallest out of the lot —said it. It didn't sound like the other two voices, and seemed to high-pitched for the red one. "Oh.. uh, this is my katana. Edgewing. Uhm." He snatched up the forgotten sword.

"Oh! You have the sword!" The blue one almost shouted, and whipped around  to his companions, "See! I told you no one would abandon a pretty sword like that!" The purple one rolled his eyes, "Leo, Raph said that after you said you wanted to take it," He stated. The blue one, Leo, put his hands on his hips. "Did not! I would never take something from a fellow swordsman, Donnie!" Donnie responded sarcastically, restarting the sparring that Usagi paused.

The red one slowly got up and walked to Yuichi, the orange one slung around his back, limp. "Sorry that we, uh, broke into yer house. We thought it was empty since the yokai 'nd stuff," He said, and Yuichi nodded. "It's okay! My friend- I live with her -likes the tomato, so she keeps some of the house dirty. I'm Usgai Yuichi, by the way!" He introduced himself proudly.

The large kappa smiled, "Raphael, but everyone calls me Raph. My brother," He gestured to the one on his back, "Is Mikey. Purple is Donnie, blue is Leo." Raph thought for a moment, before his eyes lit up. "Oh! Do y'know Mia.. miya.." "Miyamoto Usgai?" Yuichi guessed, and Raph nodded. "Yeah! Our Pops knew 'em. Or someone in our family, since Pops told us 'bout him,"

Yuichi nodded, "So I take it you guys are samurai and you're trying to get a sensei in the city?" He asked, and Raph shook his head. "Nah. Ninjas. Our dads our sensei, and we're just travelin' for some brother-bonding."

The rabbit accidentally let his nose scrunch. Ninja? He thought. Suddenly, the blue one— Leo, Usagi remembered —let himself into their conversation. "Yeah, anyways, do ya wanna spar? Donnie's no fun to spar with when he's mad, and no one else wants to," Leo fake-sniffled, Raph out a hand on his brothers' shoulder to get his attention, "Sorry, Baby-Blue, but Mikey's sleepin' so we gotta get back to the hotel. Meet ya there, I'll grab some food?" Leo nodded, the oldest, and youngest brother on his back, leaving in one swift movement. Donnie was still packing up his stuff in the corner, pretending not to admire the walls artwork.

"So, uhh.. what's your number?" Leo asked awkwardly. Usage noticed a small shade of pink in his face. "Oh! I, er, don't have one." He stated. Leonardo's face darkened. "Oh! Wait, Donnie!" His brothers head whipped to the blue turtle. "What, 'Nardo?" Leo grinned, "Gimme the extra T-phone you made!" Donnie rolled his eyes for the second time, "That's for emergencies," Leo's face told purple that, to him, this was an emergency. "Whatever." Donnie said blandly, a robotic hand coming out of his shell that freaked Usgai out.

Leo took the phone and handed it to the white rabbit, "It works just like a normal phone! It should already have my contact, as like Neon-Leon or something." Usgai nodded, and looked up from his new phone. But the kappa were gone.

Ninja. He decided to text Leo, though he didn't know what about. He stifled a laugh reading the sliders' contact, 'Sonic but mentally slow'. Yuichi alternatively decided to shove his new phone in his pocket and try, and instead figure out an excuse about where he got said phone as he walked into the common room, immediately being swarmed by Kitsune about where he'd been.
