Chapter 7: Symbolic Sacrifice
(TW:Sacrifices, blood, knifes, cult rituals!!!)
Y/N POV: I could tell that we were under the floor, creaking came from above. A sprinkle of dust brushed my face, I tried not to cough, as I walked around. In the room outside, it had cabinets and dusty shelves with crumbled paper and ripped pages, I suddenly found a stair case. I beckoned Skid and Pump up the stairs quietly, as I opened the door. I could hear screaming from the room outside, where the front door was.
The cult members were standing around the 3 boys, holding a book with scratchy drawings of an unknown creature with thousands of eyes. There was a blue haired girl in the circle as well, knocked unconscious. "Mēs piedāvājam šīs dzīvās miesas kaudzes Tev, Visumam. Pretī mēs saņemsim pusi no tās varas, kas Visumam ir bijusi gadsimtiem ilgi!" The members chanted, as the man with cyan eyes, walked out, holding a blade. "A part of this sacrifice is everyone's blood, put out your hand." He said, pointing the blade forward. The hands of each member and sacrifice were cut, and were being poured into a glass, "I beg of you, universe! To come out from underneath the Earth and accept these offerings-" the man continued, pouring the blood around the children, before realizing the two other children weren't there.
"Where are the others?! GET THEM!!" The man yelled, pointing towards the door to the cellar. I dragged Skid and Pump over to under the stairs, and covered their mouths. The floor creaked, and a cult member turned toward me, I yelped, before hearing a scream. "Don't touch them!" Frank screamed, pushing the cloaked figure and scooping the 3 of us into his arms. "Frank! What are you doing?!" The cyan eyed man screamed, before the floor rumbled, I heard the floor underneath me break, hundreds of tentacles appeared from the ground, along with the creature's head that was covered in cyan eyes.
Frank ran up the stairs, breathing heavily before Frank was wrapped around by the huge tentacle, "Damn thing! Let...GO!" Frank hollered, dropping me, Skid, and Pump. "Frank, NO!" I screamed crying hysterically, "Save them! Don't worry about me!" Frank yelled before being pulled underground with the 3 boys and the girl. I ran towards the middle room, my heart pounded and my joints ached. "I'm getting you guys out of here! I promise.." I say, running into the dark room. I saw a window, and some rope, "Climb down you two! I need to save this." I said, before Skid and Pump frantically climbed down the rope.
I scrummaged through papers and books until I found a book for taking back offerings that were given to creatures. I ran downstairs, there was an even more gigantic caved in hole, I saw the cyan shining, I knew what I had to do. Before I could jump, the man with cyan eyes lunged at me and strangled me, I kicked his groin, and sent him tumbling into the abyss. I remembered I still had some rope, I tied it to the staircase post and climbed down. It was almost hypnotic as I went further, and further, into the abyss, the rope didn't reach underground. "You can do this, y/n, so thought as I let go and fell into the creature's grasp. It stared into the soul, I gripped the book, petrified.
"What are you?" I said shakily, "I am The Eyes of the Universe...and I will show you the end..." Eyes responded loudly, I struggled in the creature's tentacle, and brought the book up to me, I flipped to the first page. I saw Frank, trying to lift himself away from Eyes, "Don't read it y/n! Nothing here can do anything!" Frank screamed, wrestling with the tentacle. I saw the page, it was a language I didn't understand, but I started to read. "Y/N! NO!" Frank screamed, "Ar šo es aicinu Visuma acis pieņemt atpakaļ šos upurus, pretī jūs paņemsiet manu ķermeni. Jūs ņemsiet!" I screamed, before my vision went dark, as I stared into the Eyes Of the Universe's thousands of eyes.
