Y/N laid in bed, trembling with excitement + an empty stomach. It was finally here, the night before their first day at J High, and they couldn't contain their happiness. So much so that they forgot to eat something because they were too focused on preparing their backpack while admiring themselves in the mirror. God the uniform looked amazing on them.

Not only that, but something else kept lingering in their thoughts.

Are you gonna see him tomorrow?
Is he popular?
Will he recognize you?

They kept you up. The thought of maybe seeing that guy again continued to cloud your mind, hindering you from having a good-nights rest.

**Shit, I can't sleep. Maybe it's because I haven't eaten anything yet. I bet mom's working in her room. I should just go to the convenience store where Danny-boy works....yeah...I'll do that.**

You decided to get something from the 7/24 where Daniel worked. It was only 1:32 AM so he was still on duty.
You weren't really worried about your appearance, since it was just for a quick bite, so you threw on a [T/C] hoodie, some sweatpants and your crocs. They had some really cool charms that your best friend in [C/O] got you for your birthday last year. They're pretty worn-out now, but you refused to switch them for new ones.

Finally, its time to go eat some good food!

It took you about 8 minutes to get to the convenience store, thank god it wasn't too cold outside. You finally got to the counter and greeted your favorite Danny.

"Danny my boy!!! How' ya been bud? You haven't texted me as much today. What, did you find a new best friend- DID YOU FIND A NEW BEST FRIEND?!"  There you go again, jumping to conclusions.

You seemed to have caught Daniel off guard, he was in his own world, clueless of what was about to come next.

"Y/N?? What are you doing here so late at night? You're usually dead-asleep by now!" Daniel spoke with a worried tone.

"Whaaat? I'm usually up reading fanfics at this hour, man! This is nothing! I'm just here because I forgot to eat dinner!"  You exclaimed cheerfully with dark circles around your eyes.

It was obvious that you were experiencing insomnia, but your pride was too important for you to admit it.

As you walked around the store, making your way to the fried-food section, you spoke out-loud with Daniel. It felt good catching up with Danny again, it's been too long.

"So what was that about you having a lil crush on someone?"  You blurted out with a pack of ramen in your mouth while holding the freezer door with your foot. Why do you have so much stuff in your hands anyway? I thought we were just gonna eat something quick.

This, once again caught Daniel off guard. So much so that he spat out the drink that he was enjoying so happily.

You take a quick glance at the counter and notice that Daniels face is beet-red. How cute! Danny-boy is in love!
