Jay sat in the common room of the castle looking out the window and waiting for the other clans to appear over the hill that led to the gate. The Wind and Fire clan were the ones coming today. Jay's Father was the emperor of the Earth clan. The Wind clan was the people who ruled over the plains biome, because of the lack of trees it was very windy, hence them being the Wind clan. The Fire clan rules over the deserts, the very hot deserts to be exact. And as the Earth clan rule the jungles and thickly wooded areas.

The wind and the Earth clan have never really gotten along. The emperor of the Wind clan was a very selfish man, wanting nothing but money and power. While the emperor of Fire was a very nice man, who would give his life for either of my parents.

The neigh of a horse brought Jay's attention back to the present. With a quick look out the window, Jay recognized the Fire clan's first commander. Jay quickly got up from his, he was excited to see the clans this year, they were all accompanied by their heirs. Jay has never met the heir to the Fire clan's empire, he had always stayed behind to watch his younger brother but both are coming this time.

Jay ran to his room to freshen up a bit. He looked in the mirror and decided that some smudged eyeliner would go great with his outfit. He carefully lined his waterline and smudged it with his finger causing a smoky look. He sprayed some cologne on himself and sat on his bed looking out at the window waiting for Sam to announce the quest's arrival.

Within seconds a knock makes Jay quickly stand and open his door. Sam stands in the doorway with a large smile on her face. She knew Jay was always excited to meet new people. The mystery of the new heir was killing him. Everyone in the village of the Earth clan has already been talking about him and drooling over the one picture of him that was sent out to invite people to his birthday ball.

Sam escorts Jay down the stairs as Jay tries to hold his excitement in. To Jay, the three minutes that it took to walk down the stairs felt like a hundred years. He was not very good at holding in his excitement.

"Calm down Jay," Sam said as she shook her head at the boy, her face holding a large smile, "You'll scare the guest away."

"Sorry," Jay responded to the woman. He settled but his eyes still held a large amount of excitement. "I just haven't talked to someone new in a while."
Sam quietly agrees with a small nod only large enough for Jay to see. Not a lot of people came and visited the castle, Jay's parents were not the type to allow visitors in the castle.

Once Sam and Jay reach the bottom of the stairs Jay walks over to his parents to stand with them. Sam goes off somewhere else in the house not wanting to intrude on the greetings. Jay gets a small smile from His mother once she notices he took a bit of time to look more presentable than this morning. His Father, on the other hand, eyes the boy's face, he had always had a differing opinion on the makeup the boys choose to wear, especially right before important guests are arriving. But knowing that he could never change the young boy's mind he chooses not to mention his hatred.

His father steps out of the large door onto the large porch at the front of the castle with Jay's mother silently following him. They watch as the carriages with the guest come to the front and around the fountain that was placed in the middle.

When his father walked towards the coachmen, Jay continued to stay where he is. His father shook their hands and waited for the other Kings to exit the carriages.

Once the Wind emperor (Felipe) stepped out of the cart, Father went to greet him with his hand outstretched, Felipe looked at his hand and continued to walk over to where his coachmen were. The wind king was an older man who always wore a frown on his face. His clothes were always dark shades of blue which added to his dark and intimidating look. Once the King was out of the way his son stepped out (Caspian) and shook my father's hand and joined Felipe by his horses. Caspian, unlike his father, wore a bright smile on his face. Everything he wore was light blues which fit the colors of his kingdom. Felipe said a couple of things to the horses' men and they rode off.

The next carriage contained the man everyone had been waiting for, Nicolas, The prince of the fire clan. First, like the wind clan, the king stepped out ('Xander). King Xander was a serious man who always looked like he was thinking really hard about something. His clothes were shades of red and orange, the kingdom's colors. He shook my Father's hand and then went to talk to his coachmen.

Jay waited in suspense, never taking his eyes off the door of the carriage waiting to see what the prince looked like. Finally, the prince, Nicolas, stepped out of the carriage with a wide smile on his face. He looked like your everyday handsome knight. His teeth were a perfect shade of white and straighter than the horizon of the falling moon. His green eyes glimmered in the sun, reflecting how happy he was to be here, and his clothes. His clothes weren't the usual royal attire that the king was wearing; it was a nice white button-up shirt, black slacks, and a pair of nice brown dress shoes.

"Maybe his parents have the same problem with him as mine do with me." Jay thought to himself as he watched the prince laugh at something someone said.

Jay was so distracted by the prince that he didn't even realize the young prince, Arthur, had jumped out of the carriage. Arthur immediately ran up to his brother and asked him to hold him. Nicolas picked up the young prince with little to no struggle and held him on his hip. Arthur wore a button-up shirt like his brother, but it was a light red, a pair of gray slacks, and a pair of clean white tennis shoes.

The Kings walked up the steps toward Jay and his mother with their children in tow behind them. The kings shook Mother's hand and gave me a nod acknowledging that I was there.

"Felipe, Xander, I'm sure you know my wife Alice," My father said, getting in his place beside My mother. "And this is my son, Jamison"

Xander shook my hand and offered me a polite smile, and then turned to his two sons quietly telling them to introduce themselves.

"Nicolas," Nicolas said as he shook my hand and gestured to the boys in his arms, " And this little one is Arthur."
Nicolas' hands were rough to the touch caused by the intense battle training he has been a part of, the warmness of his touch made me want to pull the man into a hug and save myself from the cool Autumn air.

Felipe, on the other hand, gave me a look that caused me to want to sink away at that very moment. I had a look of disgust, probably caused by the way I was dressed.

"I'm Caspian," The prince said, causing me to blink away from the eye contact I was holding with his father and give him a loose smile.
