Just a quick A/N, please make sure to reread the previous chapter so you don't miss anything. I kind of didn't like the previous plot they would've led so I changed them.
_____Sweat drenched linen stuck to Eijirou's chest as he took in deep breaths. Standing against the massive observatory of the castle. One hand flat on the stone and the other clutching a bag of coins he had snatched from the blue haired guard and his followers he was currently hiding from.
Listening closely for the large men and women while also hoping to find something with his hand. Catching his breath seemed to become increasingly harder as he thought of what was to come to him of caught.
It was sure to be worse than a light whipping. The sting of the course leather against his back was not lost to this experienced thief. Kirishima shook away the memory as he now has his hand on a door handle.
Kirishima shook the handle hopefully. With a hushed creak the door opened and shut just as quickly. He let himself in and the immediately regret it.
He realised the he had now stole from the royal guard and broken into the royal estate. He face palmed at his own stupidity. Gazing around the room he now was in Kirishima took in the eerie ambiance.
Spider webs were spun the the corner, rat holes in corners hidden behind dusty wooden shelves stocked with old books and boxes. A moss taken window on his left giving him barley manageable light.
This must be the archives. He thought sighing softly. Sudden exhaust ran through him but Kirishima was no fool.
He looked around closer seeing a door in the far right corner next to one of the shelves. The door was not locked but it was rusty and dusted which gave him a certain amount of comfort.
"I swear I saw him here!" A voice called from behind him. Kirishima dashes to the darkest corner not lit by the window. The coins jingling lightly.
"What was that?" The sound grew with foot steps pairing with it. Kirishima had not been able to catch his breath since the sprint and it didn't seem to be slowing and sooner.
His heart races as a shadow stood outside the window. It stood for a moment. Kirishima's eyes grew heavy. Then his body went slack. He prayed to anyone who would listen for him to draw awake until he knew he was safe but that wasn't in his power.
Kirishima fell asleep while the shadow left the windows pane towards the door. He was petrified but he was so tired.
______Nooooo Kiri wake up!
Jk I wrote the thing and I don't regret a thing.
