"What the hell are we doing back here for?!" Cyrus yelled, practically looking distraught at this point.
"We finished the game, why are we back here?" Bella asked, looking around, trying to stay calm.
"I need to get back home; my partner's waiting for me," Dawn said, her gentle voice suppressed in fear.
Léon looked too exhausted from the events of today to even say anything.
I held onto Bianca's arm as I started feeling the courage I may have gained earlier drifting away. Bianca takes no second thoughts at standing closer in front of me in protection, glaring fiercely at the demon that stood ahead of us.
"No need to get feisty everyone," Deimos speaks, his voice sounding more sinister than before.
"Then why the hell are we here?!" Bianca yells. "We finished the game, Eli won, and we're supposed to be going home! What is your-"
"Who said the game was finished?" Deimos interrupts, smirking at Bianca. "As a host, I make the call when the game is finished."
"Eralyn's the host too though, and she said-" Bella started, before suddenly being silenced.
"I am also a host, did you forget?" Deimos interrupts again, his hand raised, most likely using some sort of magic to make Bella quiet.
"What...are you..." I quietly asked, trying to show myself more from behind Bianca. "There's no way in hell you're human."
"And you would be correct Miss. Hatheway, very intuitive," Deimos said, looking over at me, the look in his grave eyes sending a chill down my spine. "Makes me wonder if your dear sister would've thought the same thing before..." he pauses, smirking before turning away.
No...
"What more do you want from us..." Léon finally speaks, looking up and toward him. "You've already tortured us enough, haven't you?"
Deimos chuckled, staring over at Léon. "Let me guess...you want to return home?" He smirks before continuing, "You don't exactly have anything pleasant to go back to though, don't you think? Why are you asking to go home to somewhere that'll hurt?"
"Leave him alone you demon!" Bianca yelled furiously. "Leave all of us alone! You've pushed all of us to hell and back and are acting like you haven't done anything!"
"I guess I should admit to my wrongings then, shouldn't I?" Deimos responded, almost mockingly.
Everyone fell silent, but I could feel what each person in the room was experiencing. Bianca felt hot with rage, Léon was trying to not break down, and Bella was attempting to stay calm as well. Cyrus was on the verge of punching something, and Dawn looked so close to tears. I was so close to a breakdown myself, desperately trying to stay strong for everyone. I was NOT going to fail this, I needed to make sure everyone here got out of this place safe and well...and alive.
Deimos looked at all of us, then at me. "I think some congratulations are in order though for our winner Miss. Elina, wouldn't you agree?" He gave what seemed like a sincere clap, then noticed no one else doing so and stopped. "Hm...tough crowd. Normally the other contestants love to celebrate the winnings of someone else or...oh, wait, I think I mean their own."
"Let. Us. Go," I finally managed to say, fully standing by myself now beside Bianca. "I don't know what kind of cruel twisted game this is, but I don't desire any part of it."
"Well lucky for you, you won't be a part of this game."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well it wouldn't make sense for the winner to be a part of this game," Deimos says, staring right at me. "I can assure you, the game the rest of them will be playing, will be entertaining."
"What are we doing?!" Cyrus yelled again, catching Deimos' attention.
"Oh...you'll see in short time," Deimos responded, a sinister smirk showing on his face. "All I can say is; I wish you all the best of luck."
And with a snap of his fingers, everyone was taken off the stage. And the first thing I open my eyes to see is a room with 5 other television screens. Each one contained what looked like a live feed of the other contestants. The areas they looked to be in looked almost like voids, except for maybe some noticeable features inside.
The first contestant to show up on all the screens was Dawn.
