Warnings: Violence; Mentions of Major Character Death
Chapter Description: Thomas has struggles with parts of his memory as his past life comes out in different aspects of everyday adventures. Meanwhile, Noah has struggles with constant nightmares about his son.
Thomas trekked through the maze carefully with Minho. He turned around as he heard a loud clicking of a Griever going by. Minho stepped beside him, looking in the same direction.
"I heard it too," Minho said, patting his shoulder, "C'mon."
Thomas turned around, following him. A Griever appeared right next to Minho and Thomas quickly turned, hacking off the leg of the beast. It screeched and Thomas leaped from a nearby wall, slicing the face of the monster. He pushed his axe deeper, reaching the brain of the creature. The Griever fell over, dead as Thomas looked at Minho. He stared at him curiously.
"You gotta teach me how to do that," Minho said.
"Let's keep going," Thomas said, walking ahead of him.
They arrived back at camp where Newt was watching over the other Gladers. He smiled warmly at the sight of Thomas and Minho getting back okay. His smile quickly disappeared as Teresa walked over, conversating with Thomas. The guy was so fucking oblivious that he couldn't tell she had the hots for him. That or he didn't care. But Newt did and he hated someone touching what didn't belong to them.
"You guys find anything in the maze," Teresa asked, looking at Thomas with wide eyes and a flirty smile.
"Not really," Thomas shrugged, walking with her, "What about here?"
"Oh..."
"Nothing here either," Newt said, walking up to them, "She would know that if she actually was working on the garden like she was asked to. Minho, Tommy, glad to see you guys got back safely."
"Thanks, New..."
Thomas froze as Newt kissed him tenderly.
"Go set your stuff down," Newt said, watching them both leave.
He turned to Teresa, glaring.
"It'll be wise for you to learn your place," Newt said, "When I give you orders you follow them. I don't care if you two know each other. I don't trust you. I never have."
Teresa huffed walking away from Newt.
Thomas set his bag down as he stared at the bracelets on his wrist. He began zoning out as his dream started flashing back to him in pieces.
"It's my gift to you both," Stiles smiled, holding the bracelets out.
"Hang on to it for us," Dean said, "We'll get it from you when this is all over..."
"Stiles, son please don't leave me," Noah cried, "WAKE UP! WAKE UP, STILES! PLEASE!"
"Tommy," Newt said, bringing Thomas back to reality.
"Yeah," Thomas said, looking at him.
"Sorry about earlier..."
"It's alright, Newt," Thomas said, "I know how that can be... The whole jealousy thing and all."
"That obvious, huh," Newt teased.
"No, of course not," Thomas teased, "I couldn't tell how you were showing dominance by kissing me in front of Teresa. Whaaaat?"
Newt chuckled lightly.
"I noticed you were staring at your mystery bracelets again. Why do you keep them anyway," Newt asked, pointing at his wrist, "Did they belong to someone you know?"
"I don't know," Thomas shrugged, "They just feel important for some reason. Feel like I'm supposed to give them to someone else... Someone very close to me."
"Well, I'm sure they're out there waiting for you to be able to give them one day," Newt said.
"Yeah," Thomas sighed, "Hopefully."
Noah woke up panting heavily. He wiped his face of the sweat dripping from him. He felt a hand touch his bicep causing him to flinch hard while aiming a gun. He lowered it quickly when he noticed the familiar smirk of his husband.
"It's okay, love, you're safe," Klaus reassured, sitting up, "It was just a nightmare."
He took the gun from Noah's hands gently and placed it aside.
"I won't let anything happen to you," Klaus soothed.
"I'm sorry, Klaus," Noah said, "I didn't mean to do that."
"It's alright," Klaus said, looking at his lover in the dimly lit room, "What did you see?"
"Same thing," Noah said, "Stiles dying in my arms."
Klaus leaned over, pulling Noah to his bare chest. He obeyed the direction and lay on his body. Noah's hands wrapped around Klaus's waist loosely as he got comfortable. Eventually, he was resting his head on his groin while hugging his thighs. Klaus sighed deeply and leaned back. Only then did he look at the blood stain on sheets from his ribs being cut. He also looked over at the bloody knife that Noah unknowingly used to cut him in his sleep.
"Thatkind of guilt consumes you slowly until you let it out," Klaus said to asleeping Noah, "It seems to already be eating you alive."
