As he woke up in the morning, Sonnie was greeted with a plate of toast followed with the words "Eat up, we're gonna have a long journey." And from this, he could tell that the one speaking was definitely Max.
"What time is it?" Sonnie asked, slowly coming to his senses. "You expect us to know? There isnt a clock in the middle of a forest and we dont have a watch on us." Exclaimed Max, as he began to eat his food.
"You should really be more polite if all of us are going to get along." Insisted Munch, and you would guess that he would have a smug grin behind that mask of his. Upon hearing this, Max became silent and focused on eating his food and hygiene. "What are all of our goals again?" Asked Sonnie with an emotionless face, gazing at Max. "Well, Max wants to find that Connie person and so do you but I'm only really here to have a journey." Answered Munch. Seems like Max had the same goal as Sonnie, he respected that. "I know why you wanna find her, Sonnie, but what about you, Max? Was she important to you?" Asked Munch. "Take that fucking mask off." Answered Max with no expression. "That's not really answering my question.." Replied Munch, with a disappointed tone. "She seemed cool." Answered Max, finally, with a mean grin forming on his face. They all finished their food and brushed their teeth then set off again to search for Connie. Along the way, Sonnie thought he saw the hobo that he spoke to in the corner of his eye but it seemed like he was seeing things until he saw him again later on and decided to run towards him and planned to catch up with his friends later. "How are you?" Asked the hobo, not bothering to tell Sonnie why he was here in the first place. "I'm... Good." Replied Sonnie, emotionless.(Munch and Max's conversation illustrated)
"That's great to hear!" Said the hobo, grinning beneath his balaclava. "I'm guessing you dont want to talk much again do you? So I'll just leave you to walk with your friends for now." Said the hobo yet again. "Why are you here..?" Asked Sonnie with a concerned tone of voice. "I was just going camping, you see, and I'm curious of your age by the way, Sonnie, you look quite underdebeloped not to be rude. It's a little odd for someone so small to take a journey like this." Ignoring the fact the old man said 'underdebeloped' instead of underdeveloped, Sonnie replied with "I'm 15, and enjoy your camping trip." Before walking off into the distance. The hobo chuckled as Sonnie walked off. "What a curious boy.." Mumbled the hobo. As he returned to his friends, Sonnie noticed that they had been looking for him. "WHERE WERE YOU, IDIOT!" Screamed Max, with an angry expression. "WE THOUGHT YOU GOT ATTACKED!" Sonnie shrugged off the rude greeting and replied with "I saw a pretty flower." Irritated, Max scowled at him and began to walk further. Sonnie realised that the more civilised friend of his began walking towards him and prepared for a better greeting. "Give us a little notice if you're gonna walk off like that, alright? Max is only mad because he doesn't wanna lose someone." Exclaimed Munch, with a calming aura. Those last four words made Sonnie's head ring. 'Doesn't wanna lose someone'. It rang in his head over and over as he was reminded of his past losses, the ones he feared so much and the ones he wished he could have back. But alas, Sonnie replied with "Ok." And an awkward chuckle.

They proceeded on with their search while also having some jokes passed around and all around having a good time together, they were all young and they got along like bread and butter apart from Sonnie not being able to show any emotions, Max being Max and Munch not wanting to take his mask off. Other than those things, they were best friends! Although, they weren't here to make friends (Apart from maybe Munch) as their goal was to find the missing Water Pillar whom they desired to meet so much. She might not even be alive for all they know but who cares about any of that, they'll keep looking. "It's pretty cold now that I think about it." Said Max with a pitiful look on his face. "It's your fault for wearing clothes that show your entire chest." Replied Munch, ignoring the fact that it's a terrible idea to tease Max. "THESE ARE THE CLOTHES OF MY FATHER, I REFUSE TO CHANGE, IDIOT!" Shouted Max, insulted. "Alright, calm down, I understand." Replied Munch yet again with a sorry tone of voice. Sonnie seemed to be thinking to himself as he didn't seem to hear anything they were talking about despite being right next to them, so Max decided to nudge him. "Wake up, it's still day." He said, chuckling a little at the fact that Sonnie can just nullify everything that is happening around him and become clueless on another level. "You'd probably be better off talking some more, y'know." Insisted Max with a serious look in his eyes. Sonnie simply shrugged his words off again and replied with another of his famous lines. "Ok." Then kept walking.
While they were busy talking to eachother, the hobo was busy talking to his friend Ace who became excited when he saw Munch. "IT'S HIM, IT'S HIM! COME ON, DON'T TELL ME YOU DON'T WANNA GO BEAT HIM UP WITH ME?" Said Ace, desperately trying to persuade the hobo to cooperate with him. "Unfortunately he's hanging out with some other people right now, so we're gonna have to wait a while." Replied the hobo with a grin. Frustrated, Ace simply let out a large groan and began to throw a tantrum. "IT'S UNFAIR! I WANNA BEAT SOMEONE UP RIGHT NOW!! YOU DON'T KNOW HOW BORED I'M FEELING AT THE MOMENT!!!" Shouted Ace, looking extremely agitated. The hobo sighed, "I did tell you we would have to wait a while, so that means we will eventually beat him up just not right now." "BUT I WANNA DO IT NOW!!!!" Replied Ace, slightly less angry than before. "You're pretty childish for a 200 year old man, you know." Said the hobo in a tired voice. "I'm going to be honest with you, I don't feel like beating any of them up. They're beginning to interest me, Ace, they're looking for someone." The hobo then began to scratch his head ready to be screamed at again by a 200 year old man. "You know what you're right." Admitted Ace with a curious expression. "I like where this is going! You've convinced me not to attack, congratulations!" And right after this, Ace decided to go to sleep to cure his boredom while the hobo decided to eat some of the beans he had saved.
Meanwhile, the 3 slayers that were continuing there search didn't find the woman they were looking for but they did find a woman. "If I remember correctly, you passed the final selection with us didn't you? You were the other wind breathing user, right?" Asked Munch. "That's right, and I'm pretty sure I remember you too, golden boy, what are you all doing out here?" Replied the girl awkwardly.(The hobo, illustrated)

"Well, we're taking a journey like any other slayer." Said Munch with a calming voice. "Yeah... I'll see you guys around then." Replied the girl, awkwardly walking away. "She's.. pretty." Admitted Max. "You only saw her for about 30 seconds and you're already in love." Teased Sonnie, yet again emotionless. Max didn't hear this though, as he was too busy thinking about the girl he just saw.
