A week after the incident in the forest, everyone decided to go to the beach for a well deserved break. Sonnie was completely fine, Connie was still getting used to the fact she had been a demon for a few years, Max was crippled and left in a wheelchair temporarily due to the insanely high speeds he had reached in his fight with Ace, Koun was being Koun, Lunos was too busy feeling sorry for Max. Clearly, most of them were tired and needed somewhere to go in the summer and what better place than the beach? So they made their way to the beach with some umbrellas, chairs, balls, spades, sandcastle moulds and blankets with finally a good feeling about relaxing. And, of course Connie and Koun were wearing bikinis suggested by Max and heavily contested by Sonnie. Although, they could never have a peaceful life of course. Sonnie spotted Sam playing volleyball with 2 cloaked individuals, the white clothed one wearing a fox mask. He sighed and decided he should just ignore that idiot and get on with his break as he smiled towards Connie, who looked back at him for approval as she was setting up the blankets and umbrellas. Max, who had taken his shirt off to show his manly scars and put sunglasses on to look cool, started rolling away on his wheelchair which he forgot to stabilise as Koun began running after him, reaching at the chair with her right arm but to no avail as she could not keep her grip with a single finger. Lunos had started digging a hole to knock out Connie and bury her in to get her back for stealing the final piece of cake that Koun made to congratulate everyone for their hard work after the fight. Everyone was happy! Finally a good time back together thought Sonnie, before remembering that one person was missing. Munch. He missed him. The warm, kind and welcoming aura of Munch was missed by everyone, of course, and they all had to just deal with it.
Connie began watching Sam go against the two cloaked people in volleyball, as it was entertaining due to the sole fact that Sam was losing miserably and it seemed he had bet all his money on this match besides it being a 2 on 1. "Poor kid, heh." She muttered, sipping on a can of Poka Pola and smiling to herself. Eventually Sam had lost about 5 times and finally walked off screaming, "I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME!!! I'LL BE BACK!!!" Before being dug into the sand by one of them, leaving only his head. Connie stood up and approached Sonnie with a friendly smile. "Hey, buddy, wanna play some volleyball?" She asked, patting his head. It seemed she really hadn't changed from being his mother. "I've not played it before, but sure." He answered, looking up at her. With no response, Connie dragged him by his wrist over to the 2 people standing by the volleyball net who had just beat Sam. They began playing immediately and extremely competitively. Connie seemed to have played volleyball quite a lot before, so she was doing well paired with her slayer corps training and Sonnie was a naturally born sports player, so he was doing extremely well for his first time. And finally, Connie and Sonnie won! They high fived and Connie offered to do a little victory dance with him, but as Sonnie was a little boring he declined. She looked over to their competitors, who were extremely frustrated and angry. "What's wrong?" She asked, with a curious look on her face. "You guys aren't sore losers right?" However, these remarks only made them angrier. It seemed to suddenly turn night, but no clouds or moon were in sight, and the sand began to turn white. The plants and sea turned black and now that the two were out of the sun, they could finally take off their cloaks as they would not burn out. They both ripped their cloaks off to reveal themselves. "My name... is Kuro!" Exclaimed the black haired, grey skinned girl. "And I am... SHIRO!" Exclaimed the white haired one.
"Uh, Sonnie, did you bring our swords by any chance?" Asked Connie, scared for her life as she had been out of work for a while now and forgot how to confront demons. "I didn't think we were going to be fighting anything today, so I didn't." Answered Sonnie, "If you need a weapon go ask Max to call Blair and tell her to bring the swords with her, I'll keep these guys distracted." Connie decided that it would definitely be the best option to do that, as Sonnie was fast enough to dodge attacks and had enough energy to last. So the pelting began, hard metal feeling balls were thrown at Sonnie, paired with grimy slime attached to them and also some slimeballs too. Connie ran as fast as she could and she was faster due to the mobility of her bikini, how convenient (thanks Max.) "CALL BLAIR AND TELL HER TO BRING WEAPONS WITH HER!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, nearly deafening Max. "CALM DOWN, OKAY OKAY" He responded as he called the witch. She answered with a 'How do you do?' before being interrupted by Max, who told her to bring swords with her and come quick. She instantly hung up the phone, sparing no time to talk. "She's coming.." Muttered Max, immobile in his wheelchair. Connie looked back at Sonnie to see that he was just barely dodging. "Hang in there..." She mumbled, concerned for her beloved son.
Still struggling, Sonnie kept repeating the phrase "Just 10 more minutes... Just 10 more minutes..." While struggling to keep his limbs, slowly being caught up by the endless assault of goop and balls being pelted at him as relentless as a thunderstorm. "If only Max was able to walk..." He thought, in awe, as he realised that Max was the only one able to fight demons with his fists somehow. Shiro and Kuro seemed to be having the time of their life as the anticipation grew and as the competition between the siblings of 'Who can kill the child first' drew to a close. Nearly 5 minutes later, Blair had appeared on the scene wearing a huge hat as always, a fluffy black coat, a thick black shirt and a stylish purple scarf. What a gorgeous attire to be wearing to go to a beach. As Connie looked at her like she was a weirdo, she threw a pack of 5 swords towards Connie with a grin. "Didn't know how many you wanted, so I brought the whole bunch." Izzy soon emerged behind her, with his smile gone and with fearful eyes. Kuro looked at the vulnerable child and gave a sinister grin as he disappeared and reappeared with Izzy in his grasp and with his razor sharp claws to his neck. "GIVE UP OR HE GETS IT!" He screamed, nearly laughing at his success. His sister cheered him on as he drew his finger closer to the boy's neck before Blair began to show off why she is a so called witch. She looked him dead in the eyes, scaring him and forcing him to feel some kind of despair down his back. He trembled and fell to his knees, still holding Izzy tightly, as if he just had some kind of urge to bow. "Put him down." Commanded Blair, in the deepest tone she had ever spoken. Connie and Sonnie looked at her in amazement. How could she have just switched so suddenly? "Put him down, you say?" Chuckled Kuro, grinning, as he got back up. "Whatever you say, ma'am!" He said, before slicing Izzy's head clean off.
