Chapter 20: XD?

I opened the dusty old book up and flipped rapidly through the pages, titles flew by like a fresh morning breeze; Gods, magic, potions, fertility, seasons...

"Ah there" I said sighing as I saw the page, The title read in big black letters "Revival"

I had been searching all morning for something like this to appear. Phil left and after that I read every page about the gods to see if one could help me in this situation, nothing, same with magic and potions. I was honestly starting to give up hope, but the thought of having Dream back was enough to keep my head in the game.

The text was short and simple, 

'There is okay one at to revive a dead ,an and that is a book called "The revive book" one person owns it and whenever they die it gets passed on to the next person, but nobody knows who it will go to next or who owns it currently'

"That's all?" I groaned. 

Then I had an idea, I flipped back to the page about gods, XD is the god of the server, of course he knows where it is, I bet he gave it to the next person after dream died. The book said something about having summoning a god as powerful as XD.

'Do we have to do a whole ceremony to see some God? Yes. Why can't we just find it by ourself? We have no clue where it is! XD seems like he has a big head. Don't be a dick' the voices were rambling on about being bored while I was gathering candles and lighting them in a circle.

The book said that I need to recite and incantation, so I did (A/n: lazy writing moment) the candles all blew out and then in front of me appeared a huge dude, he was like 20 feet tall and had a big stick 

"XD?"

"Techno?" he said tilting his head "good to see you again"

"You too buddy"I said, 

"What is bothering you" he asked 

"I need a favor" I continued 

"You sound like my youngest brother" he laughed 

I ignored him "hypothetically speaking could you... revive someone"

"Yes, but no, you see, I have the book, but I need to give it to the next person. Which I guess would be you" he said pulling out the dusty leather book

"Okay, I want to revive Dream" I said opening the book and reading through it

"Oh, no, you cannot use it for personal use" he said "ever since Dream revived Wilbur, we decided that it is like a genie, the genie can't make wishes for themselves, but can give anything another person wants.

"What? That can't be right, please just this once will you-"

"Nope, I can't break the rules for anyone, as a demigod you should know that" he interrupted 

I sighed "Thank you XD, that's all" 

He nodded before vanishing at a flick of his finger. I examined the book, flipping through the pages most of them were blank, but a few stated who was revived when and where, which I guess was cool, but not exactly what we were looking for.

I continued to flip through, but the rest of the pages were blank. Let's just say that Dream did a lot of bad things and I cannot imagine one person that would want him back, not one person would revive him.

I needed to clear my head so I went outside, the cool air was nice against my warm body, it started to snow lightly, I had a flashback of me and Dream laughing and playing in the cold storm. A single year left my eye.

I continued walking before reaching the pond where Dream passed. I sat down and looked I'm my reflection. I wondered what he must have felt in his final hours, he was all alone and felt useless and like a monster. I couldn't be there for him. I was too busy with my own stuff that I couldn't help the love of my fucking life. In that moment, just for a second I had a thought of jumping in after him, but I shook it away almost immediately 

'I need to revive him, I would do anything'

Then, I had an idea. George and Sapnap had to have felt something when they heard about Dreams death, they must feel at least a little guilty. If I asked, they would probably help me revive him.

I ran back to Karl and jumped on him. We raced off into the woods. The trees were like comfort to my busy mind, the nature calmed me down and the clean air seemed to deep cleanse myself from the inside.

Once I got to the "main land" (that's what they call it) I looked around, I hadn't been there in so long and it has changed so much, Tommy had United everyone into one big country, well except some people he hated which he banned from everywhere and had a bounty over them. That's why I need to be careful, I am top wanted and nobody likes me here. Maybe because I destroy nations, or kill people, or probably I let Dream out of prison. The place was much cleaner, but looked mostly the same, but there were red vines across some places which was odd?

I continued Riding all the way into where I found George and Sapnap, "I need your help" I said to  them 

"Techno, what are you doing here" Sap asked as he reached for his sword 

"Guys, please, I only need help" I said putting my hands up

"You do realize that you are like the most wanted man in town?" George said putting his glasses on his head.

"Yes, but this is very urgent" I said 

"So urgent that you are risking your life?" Sapnap asked 

"Yes" I said stepping closer to the boys "Please"

"Fine, what is it?" Sap continued 

"Just hear me out, it's for Dream?" George and Sapnap's faces instantly dropped 

"Didn't he.. kill himself?" George whispered 

"Yes, but I have a way to get him back" I said pleading

"How" Sapnap asked 

"Listen, I got the revive book, but someone needs to wish for the person to be revived" I explained "you are the only guys that would do that, please"

"And why would we do that?" Sapnap asked

"You were his best friends and he wasn't... well... himself at the time he basically had this alter ego that took over him" I said, they were obviously confused "it's confusing, I know"

"Why do you need him back?" George asked 

"I... I need him" I said, they were quiet, "Please, I love him"

"You owe us" George said. I pulled out the revive book "I wish Dream to be revived"
