We arrive at the daycare center and a lady was waiting already. We pull up and the lady opens up the car door where I am sitting.
"Hey there! You must me Simba. I volunteer to help little kids like you. Let's get your stuff baby."
This l lmk day just gets me out and Sean just watched until she got me out of the car. I just grabbed my stuffy lion and put my pacifier in my mouth. I was really nervous.
"Have a nice day baby! I'll pick you up on a few hours."
"Bye Da Da!" I started to tear up talking through my pacifier.
"Awww, it's okay baby. Let's go inside and play with toys okay?"
I was being led inside and there were other littles like me. I was very scared to go by anyone so I went to a corner and cuddled my lion. Just as I was getting comfortable though, the lady picked me up.
"Here is little baby Simba. He's our new little here. Please let him be for now and warm up over time. He's very shy."
I just hide my face and rub my eyes. I was getting tired.
"Is the little Simba tired? You want a nap? Come on little guy. Let's tuck you in."
I just nod in agreement and follow the lady. As I was crawling behind her I ask her a question.
"What call you?"
"I'm Miss Cromfeld. You can just say Miss C."
"C no wanty crawl... I no wanty go no where."
Miss C just picks Simba up and carries him to a nursery. She lays him on the changing table first.
"Let's check your real fast!"
Miss C feels my wet diaper and then undoes the zipper from my footie pajamas. She changed me so fast that I didn't even feel a diaper swap or the tapes tighten. I dozed off in the middle of the diaper change. I guess I was tired.
When I woke up, I was in a crib. Sean came into the room and checked my diaper.
"Hey there little guy! Did you have fun at daycare? This is your new room now baby. I carried you and got your stuff packed into the car and inside too. Oh! I almost forgot."
Sean pulls out Simba's lion stuffy and puts it in the crib. I just snuggled my lion and laid in the crib.
