It was dinner time and Sean was preparing dinner. It smelled so good! Pot roast with potatoes and vegetables was on the menu tonight. I decide to sit and watch Sean cook.
"Hey my little cub! Hungry? I got lots of cool food for you."
Sean pulls out jars of baby food and a small spoon. I tried to reject.
"Da da feed me dat?" I was pointing to what Sean was cooking.
"No baby. You eat baby food silly! Let me feed you okay?"
I didn't think he had baby food already. It's like he knew I was coming. I guess I truly have to learn to be baby. It's been so long since my younger years.
"Otay! It good?"
"This is sooooo good for you baby!"
I start to eat the food and when I was finally finished, I was given a bottle for bed. Bed at 7 o'clock? This is earlier than what my parents had me in bed by.
"No seepy!" I decide to run and hide.
"You have until the count of three. One... two..."
I crawled out fast so I don't get yelled at.
"Good boy! Come on let's go to the couch and get you tucked in. Tomorrow is a big day! You will enjoy it!"
I just start imagining what Sean had planned for me. Where are we going tomorrow? Is it supposed to be a surprise? I just drink my bottle of milk and within minutes I was fast asleep.
The next morning, Cujo, a German Shepherd, licks my face and wakes me up. I open my eyes to see Sean standing and laughing at Cujo wake me up.
"Icky!" I cry out.
I wipe the slobber off of my face.
"Go Cujo! Lay down in your bed. It's okay baby. Let's check your diaper. I ordered more last night before bed and some new clothes. Today you are going to daycare buddy! You excited?"
I wasn't expecting daycare but I acted like I was excited to keep Sean happy.
"No be wif da da? I no go wif da da?" Trying to talk with a pacifier is hard but I have to or I get yelled at for taking my pacifier out.
"No baby. I need to go to work."
I just start crying to try and get out of daycare. It didn't work.
"Okay let's clean you up. Lay down!"
I laid down and Sean started to change me.
"Someone is soaked! It's okay let's get you dry. First we wipe you down, then we get a fresh diaper under you, now I put powder on your bottom and pee pee, and now I tape you up."
Sean was talking aloud narrating what he was doing as I snuggled with my lion.
"All dry now! Let's get clean clothes on now. Lift your arms!"
I listen to Sean and he pulls out footie pajamas, one with dinosaurs and one with puppies, and he turns to me.
"Dinosaurs or puppies?"
"Dino go roar!"
"Dinosaurs go roar yes. Okay let's get you dressed and not just a diaper. The other one is spare clothes in case you leak at daycare. I also will pack three diapers to change into in case you need a change."
"Otay da da!"
I finally get dressed and Sean grabs his bag for work after he puts Cujo in the crate.
"Okay let's go baby! Time to go bye bye. Don't forget your stuffy lion."
I almost forgot. I run to grab my lion and back out the door to wait for Sean to unlock the door. As I get to the car, I noticed a car seat. Sean opens the back door and picks me up, putting me in the car seat. Now I am locked in a car seat.
"There we go! Let's roll!"
Sean starts the car and he starts heading to the daycare center. I hope I can enjoy it!
