10. Double date.

We walked out of the car and headed to our destination. The amusement park was even bigger than I thought.

There was a lot of people and that was making me uncomfortable. That's when Hunter took my hand.

" Do you want to go on the Big Wheel ? " He asked.

I nodded and we started to walk. I tried to pull the dress down as much as I could and mumbled to myself : " God, I hate dresses. "

" You don't like dresses ? " He asked. It seemed like he heard what I said. " You shouldn't wear a dress if you don't feel comfortable in it. " He added.

He looked at my hands and noticed they were shaking. He took off his sweater and and handed it to me.

" Here, I wouldn't want my date to end up sick. " He smiled. " Aren't you gonna be cold ? " I asked. " Nah, I'm good. "

I grabbed the sweater and put it on. It was a little too big for me as Hunter was way taller than me.

As we were on the big wheel, Hunter kept looking at me. " Stop staring, that's creepy. " I said as his eyes on me were making me uncomfortable. " I can't help it. " He said.

We got down and decided to go rifle shooting and Hunter got me a teddy bear. I named him Huntie to refer to how Jace calls him. That didn't make Hunter laugh at all.

We then went to buy an ice cream for Hunter because he was craving one.

" Can I ask you a question ? " He asked licking his ice cream. " You just did. " I joked. " Seriously. "

" I'm listening. " I said. " Why do you love butterflies so much ? "

I laughed. " You're gonna think it's stupid but when I was six a butterfly landed on my head. I screamed to everyone around me that it was a sign from God and I've been obsessed with them ever since. " He smiled.

" you believe in God ? " He asked. " I used to but not anymore. "

" Why ? " He questioned me. " After all that happened to me I think I can say that if he ever existed than he was never on my side. " I answered honestly.

It was true. I used to believe in God and think that he was gonna save me. But he never did and I slowly lost hope.

" But you still love butterflies though. "

" They are so majestic I can't help it. " He laughed at my comment and then looked at my face .

" Wait, you have something there. " He said as he was showing my nose. " Where ? " I asked not understanding what part of my face he was pointing with his finger. " Right there. " He answered wiping his finger that was covered in ice cream on my nose.

" Oh my god, Hunter, you are so dead ! " I said as I started chasing him.

That's when I bumped into someone.

" Look who we have here. " I heard from behind us. I recognized this voice.

I was fucked. In front of me was standing April March. She was one of the reasons I moved away.

" Do you know her ? " Hunter asked. " No, I don't. " I lied.

" Don't tell me you already forgot about me. "
