Unexpected Love

Prologue

Sonny can't believe that after all this time of going through this and never knowing that there could possibly be a name for it and on the other hand being scared of learning of what it could be and then learning what the tools are that you would need to have in order to help treat it.

He knew that letting go of his pride and really listening to everything that she was telling him was in fact the truth but what finally made him see that by sending his ex-wife to the treatment facility that her physiologist as well as other doctors there would be able to take care of her.

Give her the proper care and attention that she clearly needs. But, for right now she needs to be at Rose Lawn so that she can focus on herself and what she needs to do to make sure that she doesn't find herself right back where she is in a mental hospital away from her family and friends but most of all her two adorable boys who were at home waiting for her to get better so she can get better and get right back home to them.

Meanwhile, Emily has been trying her best to do everything she could to get past the worst thing that a woman of any age could ever possibly have to go through all by herself at least for the time being before she felt the confidence and strength to open up and tell certain people about what had happened to her. Sonny being one of them and she wouldn't regret it for the world.

She was thankful and grateful to have him in her corner to help her through what she was going through because he had gone through something similar as a child as an adult with his stepfather.

Sonny looks at her. Emily returns the look. Surprised to see him on the train.

"Sonny, I didn't know you were coming. Is everything alright? Did something happen with the boys?"

Sonny shakes his head.

"No. No. The boys are fine. They miss you being around and honestly so do I. Listen, I know that you're here for Elizabeth and Lucky's wedding but, do you mind if I borrow you for a few minutes. I'm only my way to the place where Carly is going to be getting taken care of. I'd really appreciate your advice."

Emily nods her head.

"All right. Of course. They won't mind. Come on."

Sonny nods his head before he steps aside so he can let her go first.

"Allow me. After you."

Emily returns the smile before she leans in gently kissing him softly on his cheek before she steps back and sits down.

"Thank you. Okay. So, now that we're all alone. What is it that you wanted to ask me about?"

Sonny gives her a dimpled grin before he joins her.

"I'm actually on my way to Rose Lawn to check out the facility."

Emily nods her head. She slowly reaches out and places her hand on top of his.

"That's good. I read up on it. The facility is excellent. The staff is incredible. Carly is going to get the best care possible and Lainey will be by to visit with her when they have their one on one therapy sessions."

Sonny gently reaches out taking her hand in his.

"How was the wedding?"

Emily sighs before she takes a deep breath before she replies back.

"It went as we expected. Nothing happened. But, there's still could be out there somewhere."
