grandma - angst

" jisung, chill out, you've cleaned that spot for more than 15 minutes ! don't stress out that your grandma is coming over " Minho chuckled at his boyfriend who was scrubbing a spot on the floor since forever.

sooner or later, the doorbell rang

" oh god, I haven't made dinner ! " jisung shouted out, rushing to get the door

he was expecting an old woman with a luggage outside but was only met with a mail.

jisung looked in confusion and took a glance at a nearby clock that read 6 pm

" she should be here by now... " jisung asked in wonder

minho came in, with a smile on his face but it instantly dropped when he saw his boyfriend so big uncontrollably

" hey, what's wrong, baby ? where's grandma han ?" he quickly wiped the tears off his face but when jisung heard his grandma's name, he cried even more.

minho then realised a letter he was holding

" may... may I read it ? "

jisung slowly passed the letter to the concerned minho and minho skimmed through it

nothing was heard until a loud gasp

" baby... " minho said, cupping his boyfriend's cheeks

" I'm so sorry... " minho said, guiding the still sobbing jisung onto the couch

minho rushed to the kitchen to get a slice of cheesecake and a cup of warn coffee

he placed it on the table in front of jisung who was surrounded with blankets that are now wet from his tears.

" I can't believe it... " jisung finally said, in a cracked voice

" I can't believe she just went missing... " jisung continued with even more sadness, years already starting to fall.

" the plane... I hope that hijacker gets caught " jisung said with seriousness in his tone

minho could feel what jisung was feeling and tried putting himself into his shoes but it was difficult as jisung's parents had died from a car crash, making his grandma take care of him for more than half his life.

" she was the only one who cared for me when my parents died... " jisung whimpered out.

minho looked at him sadly, wraooong his arms around jisung

" that hijacker will get what he deserves. right now, it's time to hope for the best of your grandma " minho said in a very comforting tone but to no avail, jisung was not having it

jisung decided to sleep and not do anything for the next few days, he even rejected on a cheesecake date

minho, who was leaning against the door frame, was sadly looking at the bundle of blankets that were rolled up with a sad quokka inside.

the whole room was trashed with crumpled tissues and the atmosphere was so gloomy.

2 weeks after the incident, the phone rang and minho rushed to it, listening carefully at the other caller

" we've found your grandma fortunately, but she has to stay in the hospital to rest and get patched up from all the scratches and wounds she'd have while lurking in the forest, the hospital she'd been sent to is Stay Hospital, just say your name and our staffs will escort you. " the other caller instructed, hanging up quickly

minho rushed to the bedroom pulling the blankets away from the strong quokka, but... he wasn't there...

panic aroused but jisung's voice was heard in the bathroom.

minho peeked through the bathroom door seeing a fresh and determined jisung

" Now let's go to Stay Hospital ! " he screamed, throwing the car keys to minho

minho got a grasp on the keys and basically ran to the excited jisung

" open the door !! " he whined but minho pinched his cheeks

" let's get some of her favourite food first, sweetheart " he said calmly

" to the cheesecake foundation ! " jisung said and sat in the car as soon as it was opened

they both picked up the desired cheesecake before reaching the hospital, running to the appointed room.

there, grandma han was laying on the bed, her face bandaged up with her limbs covered up with renewed bandages. she was on the bed, reading her book, peacefully

" grandma !! " jisung excitedly screamed, running towards grandma han, giving her a bear hug " you got me all worried " jisung said with tears welling up in his eyes, giving his grandma a tighter hug

grandma han chuckled hugging her grandson back looking at her grandson-in-law. she smiled at the worried minho and told him in amusement

" why are you just standing there ? come here and give me a hug, darling " she said reasurring, opening her arms for minho to hug

before grandma han got out from her hospital bed, jisung made sure to make the house extra clean, giving the best decorations to the guest room and the two grown ups had an amazing time with grandma han
