Tension was high between Lonnie and Asch, the Daemos Prince simply turning away from the human to wander about her home in search of god knows what.
"The human has guts, grabbing on Asch like that" Leif whistled, breaking the silence the Prince had left them in. "I must admit, you are quite the risk taker, Ms. Lonnie. Not even other Daemos have laid their hands on Prince Asch in such a manner" Rhys said, glancing at the room the man had just disappeared into.
"What do you mean? I grabbed him like that because I wanted to shut him up, nothing more" Lonnie sighed, getting up from the couch. She moved towards her room to change, her jacket a little singed from the fire magic Asch had so kindly demonstrated.
"Perhaps you may not know this since you are human, but that act of touching Daemos' horns is, well... Intimate in a way" Rhys went on to say, making her pause. "What do you mean, 'intimate'? Like something lovers do?" She was quick to ask. Her first thought was to wipe her hands on her pants, second was to wash them but she refrained from doing so.
"Yes, typically in the privacy of one's living quarters" Rhys responded, noticing her disgust with this new knowledge. "I have Daemos cooties? Gross!" The woman grumbled to herself as she made her way down the hallway and into her room.
Leif had decided to follow her, trailing behind and remaining in the doorway of her bedroom as she rummaged around for something to replace her jacket.
"Do all humans have such messy rooms?" He asked, arms crossed as he inspected the room from his spot. Lonnie rolled her eyes, back turned to the other. "Are all Daemos this rude?" She shot back, looking over her shoulder at him. "I was just asking a question. No need to get all snappy" he chuckled, finally stepping inside.
Lonnie let him poke around her room, stepping into her bathroom to quickly switch to a shirt and out of her jacket. "Hey, what are you doing in there, Human!" Leif shouted from her room. "Changing" she yelled back to make sure he could hear her through the door. She had a feeling Leif was the nosy type.
She stepped out after only a few moments but the man was waiting right there for her, eyeing her with a hint of suspicion. "Get out of my room" she huffed, nodding towards the door before leaving herself. She could hear Asch rummaging around in one of the spare bedrooms but she didn't bother.
Returning to the kitchen, she stopped when she turned the corner and saw Rhys and Pierce poking around in cabinets and the refrigerator, the sound of dishes and food being moved and knocked over finally reaching her.
She pushed a cabinet shut on Pierce's head, earning a grunt from the large man and a sharp look when he moved back. "Stop knocking everything over, both of you. What are you even looking for?" She asked, becoming a little irritated. "We are simply looking around. We are curious about human living conditions and how they compare to our world. It has been many years since we last studied them" Rhys stated, marveling at the inside of the fridge.
"Why couldn't you study human?" Lonnie wanted to learn more about where they were from and what their true intentions were with her.
Rhys seemed to pause for a moment, thinking. "Well, humans are quite rare on Daemos. In fact, they recently went extinct" he carefully said. Lonnie knew he was leaving something out but she wouldn't accuse him of anything. "What happened to them, if you wouldn't mind telling me" she was a little interested in it now.
"They... fought amongst themselves quite heavily. They were also hunted by the beasts of our world. Daemos tried to help preserve what few humans remained but eventually, they slowly died out" Rhys explained, obviously omitting quite a bit of detail but she got the gist of it.
