A young woman with silver hair and red eyes found herself in a facility that was full of refugees who had been fleeing to the colony of Antilia in L3. She was troubled by all the refugees that had been coming here, trying to escape all the crazy things going on Earth and throughout the Earth Sphere. She sighed at the sight. The woman was Elena Costello.
"Damnit, place is cramped with refugees..." Elena said to herself. "I guess there isn't a single place in the damn universe that's safe from all this complicated shit."
"Excuse me, ma'am?"
Elena turned to face a middle aged man, her eyes glaring at the man. The man
"I'm not some old hag," Elena said.
"Oh uh... sorry," The man said. "Are you perhaps a refugee too?"
"Hmph... what if I am one? Why should that matter to me?" Elena asked.
"Aren't you a bit concerned after everything that's been going on?" The man asked. "It's terrible out there. No one in the colony wants to leave this place. Not with all the craziness that's been going on."
"Exactly," A woman spoke up. "The fighting has become so dangerous down on Earth that people are deciding to flee to the outer edges of the Earth Sphere or even make the trip to Mars."
'Idiots,' Elena thought. 'They go to Mars and an even bigger kind of hell awaits them.'
"You people are even more desperate than I thought..." Elena said.
"It's because the EFF (Earth Federation Forces) failed us," A disgruntled man said. "There's been nothing but nonstop fighting since the Second Impact and the One Year War."
"Even after the Hell Uprising, the Mycenae War, the Lunar Conflict, the Primeval War, and the Jovian War ended, the conflicts around the Earth and space continued to go on..." A depressed woman states.
"And then the Garmillas had to show up in our own system and tried to take the Earth by force..." another man said. "They could have destroyed the Earth if the Yamato hadn't come back with the Cosmo Reverse System the Iscandarians built..."
"We thought we could finally have some peace with the death of Emperor Lelouch, but then the Earth Federation lost all the trust it had with the people," A troubled woman said.
"Now we have to deal with Char's Neo Zeon, Haman's Axis Zeon, and the Zanscare Empire..." Another man said. "Char Aznable and Haman Karn... damn those two! The Wulgaru might as well just take planet Earth!"
"The Earth Federation lost any and all faith it had in the people," An old man said. "Even after Dr Hell died, the Kikaiju are all over the Earth. I There are even rumors that the Space Monsters are still around after the battle in the galactic core..."
The old man looked to the sky.
"Has God forsaken us? Is this our punishment for our arrogance? Oh, God, please have mercy on us all..."
'Pray to God as much as you like,' Elena thought. 'God isn't coming to save anyone.'
"Hey, you there,"
Elena looked in the direction of the voice to see a young man walking up to her. He was wearing a blue outfit common to those of Earth Federation officers, but he looked a little too young. He must be a student, she thought. There is a military academy here in the colony. He stopped in front of her and stood straight.
"You must have come from space, right?" He asked. "The name's Max. Max Florence from Military Academy 31."
"Elena Costello," She said. "And yes, I from space, Mars to be exact."
