A/N: Some members of the Magic Council were never properly introduced, so I'm just gonna refer to them as 'random council member'. And for those who were introduced, I'm just gonna say their name and show a picture of them in this chapter. If they're ever brought back in the future, you'll just have to remember them or look them up yourself. 😅
Also, this unintentionally became a long chapter.
The morning after defeating the Lullaby demon, the Fairy Tail wizards all walked back to Magnolia. Apparently, the magic mobile had accidently been destroyed during the fight. While returning home from Clover, the starving Fairy Tail wizards stumbled upon a deserted village with freshly prepared meals lying about. Erza and Y/N knew something was amiss and forbade anyone from eating any of the food, much to the others' dismay.
They instead looked through the forest to find anything edible. They were able to find mushrooms in the nearby forest, but that resulted in giant mushrooms sprouting from Natsu, Gray, and Happy's heads after eating them. Makarov, Erza, and Y/N discovered a magic circle around the village. The town had transformed everything in the village into giant monsters, which everyone was able to escape in time.
As their hunger grew, the realized they could eat the monsters. They were able to defeat some and prepare food out of them, only upon tasting them, they were horrendous. With the magic circle still active, more monsters kept appearing. As they were outnumbered and nearly devoured, Makarov lifted the spell and freed the villagers trapped inside the monsters. The villagers promised to never foolishly use magic like that again, and in return they wouldn't be reported to the magic council.
Even though it worked out in the end, the Fairy Tail wizards were still left famished and continued their way back to Magnolia. When they did get back, the first thing they did was stuff their mouths with food. They almost ate as much as Natsu and Happy usually do. When they were satisfied, they all went their separate ways to relax, and await what came the next day...
