Denji misses the laundry detergent-cigarette mixed smell. With an occasional hint of alcohol. He misses the things they did together. He misses the relationship they had. He misses the feelings he felt, when they were positive. He misses Aki. He misses him so much. Whenever Denji goes to the store to pick up things for Nayuta and him, and he glances behind the register and sees the wall of cigarettes, his eyes instantly go to the brand Aki smoked. He can't help but frown at the sight. Denji wants to go back to the life he had with Aki and Power. He wants the hands that touched ever so gently to warm his body and comfort him to the extent again. He at least wanted to feel their lips to touch once more. Or for Aki to go all the way. Which they were never able to achieve.
But, Denji always reminds himself about Nayuta. He has to take care of her and he wants to make sure she gets to go to college and has a good future. But he could've had Aki and Nayuta, couldn't he? He could've had everyone. He could've just killed Makima and have fun and be happy with everyone else. But he didn't.
Ever since Kishibe made Denji go to school, he's been having a more difficult time than ever. Denji doesn't like school and can't stand Yoshida either. When he first saw Yoshida they just stared at each other for a moment and looked away again. But now Yoshida follows him around and talks to him. Denji doesn't mind the extra company but he can't stand the fact that Yoshida smells like cigarettes and laundry detergent. It's not the same as Aki's but it's just as addicting.
Denji kinda already excepted the fact that he is into dudes but he's not ready to be into anyone other than Aki at the moment. He's much more focused on getting money so he can start saving for Nayuta's college funds. To earn money, Denji turns into a chair and sells cigs. He also met a girl he bonded quite well with. Asa.
