Entrance exam! ~destroy all the robots~

Having already racked up 57 points, Mob and Shinsou had eviscerated every single bot that dared step their way. At this moment, the 2 have them had just rounded the corner before coming face to face with a group of four 1-pointers and three 2-pointers. Immediately upon entering Mob's line of sight, however, their metal shells seized up, completely immobilized.

"Alright, Shinsou-kun! On the count of 3!"

Shinsou leapt forward, a metal stop sign that Mob had found him in hand before giving Mob a nod as he landed on top of the robot.

"1, 2, 3!"

As Shinsou held the stop sign aloft, Mob increasing the pressure around the robot's neck so rapidly that the moment that Shinsou's sign made contact with the top of the robot, it's head flew clean off. Shinsou jumped onto the next bot, shouting out to Mob.

"Again! 1, 2, 3!"

This process was repeated several more times and by the time they were done, a smile had sprung onto Shinsou's face. To the average observer, he only looked mildly amused, but to Mob who felt a strange sort of connection to this boy and his expressionless, it looked like Shinsou was positively beaming.

"That's up to 67 points for each of us! I'd bet the examiners are gritting their teeth right now, huh? Thanks for helping me out, by the way."

"Don't mention it. Heh."

Now, Shinsou wasn't the only one smiling as a grin found it's way onto Mob's lips. He was glad that Teruki wasn't there to point this out yet simultaneously wished that he was here.

"Let's get a move on, Kageyama-kun."

"Right."

As they turned the corner, though they found themselves face to face with a 3-point robot. As Mob immobilized it, though, he noticed another examinee with purple hair and strange purple orbs on his head cowering in fear underneath the robot. Before he could say anything, though, he heard Shinsou beginning to speak in an unusually arrogant tone.

"Hey, kid. Why don't you just run away and give us this kill, ok?"

The small boy with the purple orbs turned around, his face indignant.

"Eh? Why would I do that for-"

The effect was immediate. In the middle of his sentence, the short examinee's eyes became glazed over, his posture stiffened as he stood completely still, not uttering a word.

"C'mon, Kageyama. Let's get this one."

"No."

Again, Shinsou looked shocked.

"Eh? Why not?"

While Shinsou's tone was sharper and higher pitched than it was a few moments ago, Mob's voice stayed steady throughout this.

"Stealing kills isn't a nice thing to do. We should at least talk to him first."

Mob walked up to this boy and lightly shook him.

"Can you hear me?"

The moment that Mob began to shake him, this boy reached up to rub his eyes which, upon being opened, focused squarely on Mob.

"What's your name?"

This boy seemed to realize that he was being talked to, looking away as he spoke in a shaky tone.

"M-Mineta. Minoru Mineta."

"I'm Shigeo Kageyama. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Mineta looked at the hand that Mob extended suspiciously before cautiously shaking it.
