Miranda's pov
I roll into town and step off the bus. The driver says, "good luck. Make it big and don't forget where ya came from." I nod and reply, "I won't." He pulls away and I shake my head. "where I came from I will never go back. That place offers nothing but pain. I grab my guitar and walk into the bar I was scheduled to play at. I sing Carrie Underwood's temporary home. After that song, there's a throng of folks gathered. Wow it's almost as if I'm in a concert right now. People leave tips which will help me get higher up. I sing Jason Aldean's song Johnny Cash and the crowd is pumped. "hey bartender, toss me a cold one." I call. He tosses me a beer then I sing luke Bryan's drink a beer.

I stand by the door with a beer in my hand. She sings well, maybe well enough to make it big. I decide to wait until the crowd has cleared. It's gotten slightly calmer ad she sings Miranda lambert's song mama's broken heart. I slip a note in the tip jar asking her to meet me outside at 11 pm. I slip out unnoticed.

"any requests?" I ask. "international harvester" someone says. I smile. "now that's my kinda party." I say. I start singing it when the man who dropped the note is by the door again. I still haven't gotten the chance to read it.
*1 hour later*
I finally finish and grab the note from the jar. "meet me outside at 11pm so we can talk about your future. Signed Jason Aldean." it says. I knew he looked familiar. I quickly pocket the cash and the note and run outside.

I'm about to head home thinking she ain't coming when she turns the corner breathless. "hey, I think you have a great chance at becoming the newest country star." I tell her. "wow thanks that means the world coming from you." she says. I laugh. "I'm guessing you're a fan then." I reply. "are you kidding, I have all your albums. You are the greatest thing to hit country since George Strait!" she exclaims. "I wouldn't go that far!" I gape. She rolls her eyes. We exchange phone numbers and I'll call her and tell her the time and place. I walk off.

I hope he doesn't turn back around because I'm staring at his ass in those fine blue jeans. Wow my first day in Nashville and I got to talk to the man I looked up to all these years. "hey wait!" I call. He stops walking and I catch up to him. "you are the reason I moved to Nashville. It has been my dream to one day meet and talk to you like I am right now." I say all in one breath. Why am I so nervous?! Oh I know why I'm meeting the one and only Jason Aldean. He keeps walking avoiding eye contact. "so how was the burnin' it down tour?" I ask. "fine, good fan turnout lots of mason jars I have to say." He says laughing. "well sounds like my kinda party." I joke. He laughs again. We reach the bus stop and I wait for the bus. He has his hands in his pockets. "do ya need a lift? I can drive you to your house." He says. My cheeks go red. "come on. I'll drive ya. Where do you live?" they go a darker shade. "at the bus station." I mumble. "the what!" He cries astonished, "no client of mine is gonna be homeless! I've got an extra bed or two at my house. You can stay there for a while." He says, pulling me to my feet. Nashville was definitely the right choice!
