Ash's Pov
I took off my blind fold and was blown away by what I saw. The Hollywood sign! It was so beautiful in the afternoon light. Looking up at the H the sun was just behind it and made it glow. I took out my Polaroid camera and quickly snapped a pic. Once it processed Connor came up behind me with a red and white checkered blanket and a picnic basket in hand. "You've always had an eye for photography. Just like when we were kids. It looks great." I blushed and put it in my bag along with my camera. "Thank you. I've been looking at this new digital camera for a while now and it's really nice but I don't have enough for it. So I'm still stuck in the past with my Polaroid but it's fine. I love this camera it has great memories from when we're were kids..."
"So you ready for our date?" My cheeks burned red. "This is a date?" I tried to hide my smile. "Yea why not?" We both smiled and started on the trail up to the sign.
On our way up the sun was on its decline and it was beautiful. It lit up the water and the beach. It was an amazing sight. I took ok my camera and took a quick pic. I could hear Connor chuckle behind me. "What? You don't get this view everyday." "I know I know just funny to see you haven't changed a bit."We both laughed as we continued up the trail till we reached the top.
We set up the blanket and the food by the H and sat down. "Wow. I never would have thought coming to California would lead me hear with my childhood best friend." "Me neither but I'm sure glad it did." we looked at the sun set for a while when I felt Connor's hand creep into mine. My heart skipped a beat and I looked at Connor. He was looking at me with a cute little grin. I smiled back.
He started to lean in and just inches from my face...... His phone rang... he sighed and excused himself.
Maybe next time...
