Song for this chapter
Kiss in the rain - Dasha Day

He has truly brought me to my front door, which we are standing in front of.

I turn to him and meet his eyes.

"Then thanks for taking me home." Even if it wasn't necessary, but I'll save that. Done is done. And I can appreciate it despite his behavior.

He nods appreciatively, "Thanks for not turning it down."

"Would you have accepted this rejection?"

"No" is his short answer. I may have hoped for a smile, but it didn't come.

"How could it be otherwise." I shake my head. "Do you want to tell me where your bad mood comes from?"

It may be an exaggeration, but he's just plain weird. He didn't say a word on the way. He seemed so powerful in his thoughts that he even ignored me and pretended to walk alone.

I had asked him why he actually sat on the bench when he wants to visit his buddy. It may be that he had to wait for him, but I don't know that.

There's still a chance that it's the one responsible for my little childhood trauma. However, it doesn't play a role.

But what plays one is his mood swing.

I have no idea what triggered it, or even if I'm the cause myself. Along the way I wondered if I said anything wrong. Something that might have come across the wrong way.

However, I'm pretty sure I haven't.

It must be something like a switch being pushed in his head - and by his own thoughts.

Just which ones could that be?

,,I dont know.''

"You don't know?" I look at him like he's taking me for a fool. Maybe he does.

"I just said that."

His bitchy behavior makes me angry "Then we have nothing more to say to each other."

Before it gets too exhausting for me here with him and my thrills go crazy because I get slight aggression, it's probably better to say bye for today.

Even if I couldn't have thought of anything nicer for the evening.

As I turn towards the front door and unfortunately have to accept that this is it, I hear him.

,,Wait.''

I notice exactly how I'm getting a little cheerful again, but my stubbornness weighs exactly the same.

I reluctantly let myself be stopped, since curiosity welcomes me just as much, and turn to face him. His brown eyes shine at me. Even if I'm standing on one of our steps in front of the door, I'm still not at eye level with him.

However, he is further away from the door and I can see straight ahead normally.

I fold my arms in anticipation.

His throat reveals how hard he swallows "Before I let you go...what's your name?"

Serious? What's the point of my name if he lets me go afterwards?

"Before you let me go? You're acting like I'm the reason our conversation ended."

I'm a little brusque, I know. But so he was- then he wasn't for a moment- and then he was just silent.

"I'm sorry." It sounds sincere and just the fact that his voice just managed to say that sentence almost makes me fall to my knees.

Oh?
