Ch.3 "What the hell is happening to me?"

Parker

The session was actually pretty awesome. I got to get to know the guys quite a bit. Nicholas was cute and very talkative with me, but I took heavy notice to Noah, the quiet one.

Uncle Miles said that he wasn't having a good day which is why he wasn't very talkative. I had told him it was okay but something else didn't feel right.

Currently we are out to eat for lunch. Nicholas and Nick sat next to each other. Miles next to Jolly, and Noah next to me. While everyone talks, Noah is quiet.

"So you're the lead singer of Bad Omens?" I ask.

He nods as he looks at the menu.

"You don't talk much, do you?" I ask.

He once again stays quiet.

"Is everything okay?" I ask.

"Oh my god. If I'm not responding, it's because I'm not in the mood to talk. So please stop talking" he snaps.

I'm taken aback and shut up. Everyone at the table looks at me.

"Excuse me" I say then stand up and head to the bathroom for a second.

Parker wasn't one who had trauma from her family growing up for obvious reasons. But she was bullied heavily in school and has diagnosed PTSD from the fire and bullying in school. Whenever she's snapped at like that, she shuts down and stops talking.

She's currently hiding in the bathroom to keep from crying in front of her uncle and new friends. Noah did feel bad about snapping at her, but she knew he was having a bad day and pushed.

"You didn't need to snap at her like that dude. She's new. She's curious" Nicholas tells him.

"Miles told her I wasn't having a good day and she kept pushing," Noah snaps.

Nicholas rolls his eyes.

"Still, you didn't need to be rude. You could've said something nicely and not said it like that" Jolly says.

Noah rolls his eyes this time.

Parker comes back from the bathroom and sits down. She scoots her chair away from Noah and closer to her uncle. Miles leans into her.

"You okay?" he asks her.

She nods and picks up her menu. Noah wanted to apologize but was too moody too. He's not normally a mean guy, he's just going through it right now.

After eating, we all went back to our house. Nicholas has been really nice to me, almost flirtatious. I didn't mind it all too much, but I've never really been flirted with before, so it was weird to me. Currently the band is chilling outside. Noah is writing in a journal, Jolly is playing guitar with Nicholas, while Nick softly drums on the back patio. I watch from the kitchen as I make them all some drinks.

"Hey. Noah shouldn't have snapped at you like that and I do apologize" Uncle Miles comes into the kitchen to say.

I shrug my shoulders.

"It's fine. I shouldn't have pushed him to talk if he didn't want too" I say.

He comes over and kisses the side of my head.

"Noah is a very reserved guy. He's normally in a better mood. He's just been super stressed out about this upcoming tour. He'll come around. Just give him time" Uncle Miles says.

I nod. He grabs a beer from the fridge then walks me outside with the tray of drinks.

"Drinks anyone" I say.

Nicholas smiles and jumps up. He takes the tray from me and sets it down for them. I sit down next to Jolly.

"You want to hear the song we are currently working on?" Nicholas asks.

I smile and nod.

Noah gives Jolly a look then ultimately rolls his eyes. Jolly begins playing the beginning to something then I see Noah turn his pages to a page that says Bad Decisions.

Noah begins singing and I'm entranced. He has the voice of a siren. It's beautiful. I listen as they play and sing. Jolly also has a pretty voice but nothing like Noah's, no offense to Jolly.

Uncle Miles softly bobs his head to the music causing me to smile.

Noah glances at me every once in a while, making me slightly blush.

Noah is a beautiful human being with this gorgeous voice.

I sway back and forth to the music just enjoying it. I glance over and see a small smile on Noah's face, but it quickly disappears when he sees me looking.

The song ends and I clap for them. Nicholas smiles.

"You guys are amazing. Noah, your voice is just beautiful. Jolly, your vocals are so pretty. Nicholas, hearing you play is amazing. Nick, your tempo was perfect. All of you, amazing" I say.

"Well, I thought it'd be fitting you for you to hear us since we heard you earlier" Nicolas says.

Noah looks over at Nicholas and looks kind of annoyed.

"It's gonna be on the new album" Jolly says.

I smile.

"I love it. I can't wait to hear what else is on it" I say.

Uncle Miles then speaks up.

"You'll even get to learn some of them considering you're touring with them" he says.

Jolly and Nicholas get excited. Noah looks pissed but Nick was also super happy.

"She's touring with us? She just signed with the label" Noah snaps.

"She'll be debuting at y'all first concert. She'll be opening for you guys" Uncle Miles says.

Noah scoffs and goes back inside.

"Did I do something wrong?" I ask.

Nicholas shakes his head.

"Noah doesn't like change very much. Plus, he's super stressed out about the tour we got coming up. He always stresses before a tour. It's nothing against you. He just wants to make sure that everything goes well" Jolly says.

It just feels like I did something wrong. I want to make it right. He's someone I'm about to work with.

I want him to like me the way that everyone else does.

It's not that I don't like her. I just don't want everything to go to shit because some new girl joined the label.

But fuck she's gorgeous. She's got this stunning voice. She's a stunner as well. But she's Miles' niece. I don't wanna let myself get too close to her. Plus, Nicholas seems to already like her. With all his flirting and cheesiness.

But why do I care? She's just another artist with the label. She's not that special. Then why can't I get this girl off my mind? What the hell is happening to me?
