You finally make it to your apartment. You find your Mother standing in the living room waiting for you.
"Where have you been?" Your Mother asks you. You look at her all confused.
"What?" You question. You take off your shoes and walk towards her.
"I got a call from the school saying that you had gotten detention, then decided to skip it. First, why did you get detention. Second, why did you skip detention?" Your Mother raises her voice slightly. Your eyes widen.
"I- uhm..." You mumble. "I got me and my friend caught using our phones and then we got detention. We went to the detention room until the teacher had to leave for an emergency, and my friend went to get our phones from wherever they were kept. He then decided to-"
"Wait, he?!" She yells.
"What, am I not allowed to have guy friends?" You ask. Your Mother shakes her head.
"No- it's fine... continue." She demands. You roll your eyes.
"He decided to bring me to a Cafe to get food I guess, then we pretty much talked." You finish. Your Mother was angry.
"Y/n, I want you to get good grades in order to get a good job so that you can support the both of us!" She yells. "I want you to focus on your grades and avoid doing stuff like this. Avoid people like that who distract you from your work."
"I don't care about my grades..." You thought. "Okay. I'll try..." You mumble.
"No, I want to hear you say you will!" Your Mother demands again.
"Okay! I will focus on my grades." You scoff.
"That's better. This is just a warning. If this happens again I will be punishing you." Your Mother says.
