Makas pov

My name is maka albarn. I live in a big city in Japan. I'm in a big school in my second year. I live with my brother and father. A normal person it might seem. But there's more to it.

My mother divorced my good for nothing father and left us to start a new family. My father is a douche who can't even get a good job. So I work as well just so we can pay the bills. My brother dosen't go to school we can't afford it.

My life is a horrible one. I don't complain though it could be worse. Like we don't have a house we're homeless worse. I finished my homework and started getting ready for work. Here's my schedule.

Wake up eat go to school do my homework make sure my dad is an good condition to take care of my brother go to work then come home late and sleep and start it all over.

Terrible right? Oh well. I'm not staying to long. My dad doesn't even realize that my mom has been calling and is talking my brother max to live with her but not me. She says i'm fine here. Since I do go to school and have a job and can deal with spirit my dad.

I'm happy he's going with mama though. It's better than living in this hell hole of an apartment.

I finished getting dressed and put on my skates and skated to work. It's a much faster way of getting there. I felt droplets of water on my head. I skated faster.

Rain.

Drop after drop. It got worse once I got to my work place. After hour's of dealing with customers my shift was finally over. I skated back home in the rain. No umbrella no jacket just a person skating late at night during a storm.

The wind was getting hard and it even harder trying to get to the apartment. Once I finally reached the apartment complex I was soaking wet. I was going to take the elevator but it was out of order due to the storm.

Just my luck. I took the stairs. It was a long way since I lived on the 40th floor. My feet were tired I could barely keep walking.

I looked at the the sign marking the floors. Just one more.

By the time I got to 40 my legs were going numb. I entered my apartment. Silence. Good sign my dad didn't bring any of his bitches here. I started a shower and took a quick one to wash all the rain and sweat off. I went to my room in my pajamas and took out all my money. I had the right amount for my plan. A smile formed and the right time. With my brother going with my mother I wouldn't have to worry about him while I was gone. I'm planning on running away to the country in Japan. The perfect place for no one to find me. I could take a train there and still have enough money to live there. I could leave tomorrow late at night. I packed the things I would need and hid the bag under my bed. I felt relieved I could finally get away from this.

I layed in my bed in the dark and fell into deep sleep.
