We were all standing outside waiting for the first competition to start. "Everyone it is time to start the sports fest!" Sid sensei yelled. Everyone got quite and listened. "We'll start with the mile run first eveyone participating form a line here" a group of students including kid and patty formed the line where he said to. They all got in formations at the track and prepared for the race to begin. It started and I could already see kid and patty in the lead. Of course kid did it and won it for us. Next was the tennis match. I couldn't believe how good tsubaki and liz were. Tsubaki scored us the winning point. Next was basketball. "Good luck soul" I said. He grinned at me. "I don't need luck but thanks" I smiled. "Um maka your name is on the basketball list?" Ms. Marie said. "What!?" I looked and for sure my name was on it. "You'll still be counted in the swimming match but you'll have to compete in basketball" I sighed and nodded. As those 2-B girls walked by I could hear their snickering. They did this! I felt out of place on the basketball court but there was nothing I could do about it. I sighed and I was so mad about those girls I didn't notice the ball coming straight at me. It hit right in the face. "Maka are you okay?" Soul said frantically. "Yeah" I answered. Then the other team scored the last point. We lost. "I'm so sorry I made you guys lose" I said bowing my head down. "Don't worry about it we'll get them next year!" Blackstar yelled. "Just make it up to us at the swimming match " soul said. I nodded and went to the locker room and got ready. I came out and saw I was going against yamada. I glared at her with my arms crossed. You could practically see the electricity from our glaring. I got on diving position yamada following suite.
The siren went off and we both dived in. We were both going the same speed. I was able to get ahead but then she caught up. She ended up going faster than me. I then heard all the cheers of my name. I grinned and speeded up. I past yamada and kept up the speed. I reached the end of it and touched it. Yamada got to it 2 minutes after. "The winner is maka from class 2-C!" Yelled sid. Everyone cheered and I blushed but smiled. After drying off we stood at the entrance and waited for the class that won to be announced. "Alright everyone the class that won was class 2-C!" Sid sensei yelled. We all cheered and hollered. "Class i'm treating you to drinks and good job!" Ms. Marie cheered. "Good job with the swimming match" soul said. I smiled. "Thanks" I answered.
Though soul was a pain in the ass we still had a special bond.
